Default Hired!

Today I accepted a job at Mar-tech engineering in FL flying C-210s,
BE-76s, and P-68's, performing Cable signal leakage detection tests, all over the country! Should be fun, and a good way to see the countryside!

Congrats!!! What are your times? Do you just carry equipment, or an engineer as well?

there are two pilots in the plane, one flies and one runs the equipment, so ill be doing both. Usually switch between flying and running the equipment.

Great, any special knowledge for running the equipment? (I ask as I'm and Engineer also!)

Keep us informed, I would be very interested on both sides of your training.

I think someone else here flew for them not too long ago. I had the website bookmarked for a while (got it from a JCer, but I don't remember who), but whenever I called they weren't hiring. Sounded like a not-to-shabby gig, though.

I think they are the company out of KCRG in Jacksonville. I met a pilot named Kevin who works there when he and his co-pilot flew to KTHV. Nice guy! Some may question whether I know nice, but I do.

Yeah, it should be a fun time. Pay is "comparable" to most first year FO spots at regionals(a little lower). Training is on the job, both with the planes and the equipment. First trip is in June sometime! Ill keep JC informed and hopefully by the time I start I can scrape some cash together for a digital camera and post some pics!

They may be needing some pilots in the near future, so if something comes open Ill post in the jobs forum.
