Good luck with the add-on checkrides. Consider them a little downhill from that initial one though.

Congratulations! I didn't know you could get your MEI first, then add-on the I/II.

My ride was with Mr. Black. Really nice guy and very very thorough!! He taught me a few things too during the flight. I didn't fly like superman perfect, I did make a few little mistakes, but never went outside of PTS or compromised safety. Basically it came down to me talking and explaining a little more during the manuevers. I told him its tough to do that when I know he's evaluating my manuevers so I'm focused a little harder on them so I don't screw up, and that distracts me from explaining everything. He really wanted me to know the common errors for every manuever, and I don't have those memorized, I just tried to think of mistakes I've made and mistakes that could easily be made. All in all it was a good checkride. Now ATP has me couped up in an apartment in Jax waiting for my Citation ride tomorrow. Then tomorrow evening and all day saturday I prep for my single engine Commercial/CFI and I take both checkrides on Sunday in Atlanta. Then hopefully if all goes well, I'll be on a commercial flight home Sunday night! I just can't wait to go home, thats why I'm going to focus like crazy on not busting these last two add-ons I have to do down here. I'll do my II back home in NJ with a DPE. | |
