| Hey everyone, I'm a new member to the board and am looking forward to getting some great information here. This isn't my first post, my first was a question on color blindness (which by the way I got excellent replies to) so I figured I'd utilize my second post to introduce myself. Im 17 as a senior in HS and I'm about to join a local flight school (LangaAir in stl area) to hopefully get all my ratings and start a career in piloting. This depends on if I pass those stupid color blindness tests, which apparently I should. Anyway, it seems like a pretty good flight school there, I've met the crew and I like it so far, I can work at my own pace, use all '99 or newer planes, and finish in around 9 months. Best of all I'm guaranteed a position as a CFI with them that pays in the top 90% at 25-35k depending on my availability I put in. Plus with their affiliation with a local college I get some 46 free credit hours as the flight courses are considered classes by the college. So, hopefully all works out as I work as a cfi for at least 4 years while getting a degree and then pursue that illusive dream job. |

| That sounds interesting. But I'm not sure if they'll hire you if there are too many instructors or not enough students to be taught. Just think about that. Well welcome, this website should bring you along from your private to being an astronaut, if needed.
