Well I took my commercial check ride on the first and passed it no problem. ![]() What an easy check ride. I can only say that because I have been studying for the test for two years. I even tried to make it hard on my self. Took off at SLC winds 160 @ 14 flew out tp TVY (about ten miles to the west) where we did maneuvers, and landing on runway 17. The winds were between 150 & 180 @ 18 gusting to 24. This made my landings very interesting; I had to do a lot of improvising. This was especially true on my power off 180, because of the high winds I immediately made my turn after passing my point. Well the winds must of died at that time because I ended up WAY high on final, man we are high exclaimed the examiner, he even told me that I could move my point back if I needed to. No way, I pulled full flaps, even that extra five that you have to hold up, full right rudder, a lot of left aileron and a little low on the airspeed. Nailed my point (a little hard) but right on the money. We did 8's on pylons, two chandelles, a steep turn, stalls, emergencies, and headed back. Oh ya winds at altitude were @ 32 with light turbulence, I thought this would give me a little lee way on my maneuvers but I didn't need it. Feels good to be on to the next step, my CFI

Congrats! I've been plugging away at my commercial for a little over two years now, so it's cool to know that there is hope. Congrats again! ![]()

Sweeter than bearmeat, baby!! Good job on the checkride!! And always remember....when you're that good, it's near impossible to make it hard on yourself... ![]() Are you taking a break, or moving right into the CFI??
