Default PPL earned

Hey everybody, I've returned after a multi-month hiatus. Anyway, I'm not a student any more, I received my PPL after 55hrs on September 4th.

I was supposed to take the in-flight in the morning, but there was some wide-spread fog all throughout southwest Ohio that day, so I drove down the Clearmont County Airport, (from Columbus) to meet with my examiner to take the oral while my instructor flew the plane down once VFR conditions improved.

In the end, everything went well, (obviously )
The test really was not as hard as I thought it would be...

Next step, Instrument rating and some complex flyin'

Good luck with your future ambitions. Thats great to hear someone say that they 'earned' their PPL. Hopefully I will be making the First Solo statement in 213 days, 21 hours, 51 minutes, and the PPL statement in 1 year, 213 days, 21 hours, 51 minutes. Yes, that is the time left until my 16th and 17th birthdays.

I always thought saying I passed my PPL was more appropriate. Although my instructor earned his money, earned my respect, and god willing earned the few hours back I took off his life span teaching me to fly!
