that sucks man...I broke the hell out of my clavicle last year downhill racing on a snowboard....missing a full inch from it now! Clavicles breaks are really painful since the bones tend to grind together a lot, but they heal real fast though, I was back on the mountain in a few weeks

...but my surgery was from years and years of moto-x injuries and ignoring doctors recomendations to get it fixed, just injuring it further every time...my bicep tenden got torn off finally, labrum was destroyed, and the top of the humorus bone was busted up pretty bad...and basically any time I lifted my arm up high it would dislocate and hurt like a bastard!

broken bones are temporary....glory lasts forever!

Yeah, I did the the Friday before Thanksgiving, broke it out where it meets the humurous. A little chunk broke off and was above the clavical, and the clavical itself pushed back and took some tendon (sp?) with it. It killed! You are right though, and fortunatley, its healing pretty quick. I am already out of the sling, but still wearing a figure 8 thing. I have a lot of movement back, but no contact in hockey for 6 weeks. Glad to hear your surgery went well, sounds like you busted up your arm pretty good!

Oh yeah, amen to the last statement! Pain is temporary but glory lasts forever!!!

ahh yes, the infamous figure 8 brace....I hated that thing, you can never get the straps adjusted just right, and its nearly impossible to do it up right yourself.....I love to play the sympathy card with the ladies and ask for help, works every time.
