Default Question For new Hires?

Are you hearing any late 40s career changers getting hired?
Thanks..

I was recently an interviewee at a regional airline and there were two gentlemen in their 40's in the group (total of about 10) and both men were hired.

There are a couple guys in my class that I think are over 40, but I don't think they are recent career changers.

Two dudes in my interviewing 'class' were older looking, greying hair. Could have been 40 easy. One was a US Airways Express guy, and the other a freight dog.

They're probably going to retire at XJet, and I don't blame them. 20 good years, top of the payscale, good routes. Starting at the bottom of a new airline would be suicide.
If you get hired, hang on to that number as long as you can!!!

Here's a question for some of the XJT pilot newhires.

I know how the agent seniority works. It goes by the last four digits of your social. Is it the same for pilots, or do they go by birthday? If that's so, then the older you are, the more seniority you've got over the other guys in your class.

We weren't given any official info about that at the interview, I'll get back to you when I start training. However, I have heard that it goes by birthdate for pilots.

at xjt they go by birthdays for seniority(sp) in the class for pilots, the older the more senior in the class.
