| I just got an e-mail inviting me to interview with Mesa. I just started class with Skywest on monday and 4-5 guys in my class are from Mesa, none of them liked it there. Needless to say, I'm not going. I have 1040TT/138ME, so they are inviting people to interview with close to their minimums. |

As for the original poster, if you have individuals in your Skywest class that are from Mesa, that has to speak volumes. Did they say why they may have left? Stick with the sure thing. You're in class, ride it out. |

| The guy next to me in class was a CRJ-FO, had been there 10 months and he wanted to come to SKW because Mesa was treating him like crap. He said it was tough to leave 10 months seniority to start in the same plane with a different company, but he would rather do for the next 5 years...continue at Mesa or jump ship to Skywest. The others in my class have similar stories. I wouldn't even think of leaving Skywest for Mesa. Skywest was by far my first choice....However, if i was in Mesa groundschool and Skywest called, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. |

| A guy I was just hired with I think is leaving Mesa, he didn't say much about the company but the fact that he's applying elsewhere says alot. Actions speak louder than words... That being said it may be a move forward for you, maybe they have domiciles that are attractive to you. I don't know what their long term economics look like but if it's a stable company, that would be something to consider. |

[/ QUOTE ] A friend did that but left mesa in groundschool b4 getting the job at skywest and wasn't hired for that exact reason. Don't ever bail a ground school once your in unless you have a Guarantee..........and there ain't that many guarantees in this industry. |

| Our profit margin on the Delta side of things is quite low. They would be better served on the United side! At least at this point in time... |

| Friend went around in nasty weather. Capt. took over next attempt and subsequently took aircraft off runway on landing. Mesa sold out both pilots and told FAA to take them to town. 709 letter on my friend's commercial certificate for an action his captain took. Mesa wanted them both to do the retest in the company sim, but wanted the pilots to pay for it. My friend made the best decision of his life and said "F off. I'm outta here." Thankfully, he was midway through the Skywest interview process when it all happened. They told him to call when he got it all cleared up. Even the FAA here told him it was ridiculously extreme. Our friendly FSDO took him up and shot one approach and called it good. |

| [ QUOTE ] A retest on his own dime?! Unfriggen believable. What next, pay for your own recurrent training? [/ QUOTE ] Mesa is pathetic. What is even more pathetic is some people still praise they are a great company. They might make money, but a business that treats its employes like dog#### shouldn't be considered a good business, no matter how much they make. |

[/ QUOTE ] That is rather HS that they took them both down. I assume they could tell who was flying, so it makes no sense to take it to both pilots. So did your buddy get hired on at at Skywest? |

| No word yet on Skywest. He still has sim to do. And yes, believe it or not, we get on pretty well with most of our FSDO guys. |
