 |  Hired!!!!!!!! Well, I finally got a job......at Express Jet. It's not an FO spot, but it's a step in the right direction. I applied there WAAAY back when I was still living in ORL, and even got a phone interview while I was there. That was 6 months ago. They called Tues to set up an interview this morning. They called me about 10 minutes ago to tell me I had the job. I have to fly to IAH tomorrow for orientation/paperwork stuff, and I start ramp training next Mon. Talk about spurr of the moment...... I'll eventually be cross-utilized in ramp and CSA, and I don't know if it's full time or part time yet. I may just take the part time (no difference in pay or benefits) and use the extra time to instruct on the side. So, Szluka if ya come through MEM, I might be there. Russ, I'll be spending a LOT of time in Houston, so maybe we can get together while I'm in training. |

| Re: Hired!!!!!!!! Me too! Offered the job as an FO today! I'm pumped, but very nervous about the training. Luckily I've got 19 days before my class starts (10/25) so I should be able to get all the flows and limitations I need memorized by then. |

| Re: Hired!!!!!!!! I was planning on hitting the Commercial and CFI stuff pretty hard over the next month, but looks like I'll have to put that on hold 'till I'm done with ramp/CSA training. At least I have the Gleims to study for the written exams. Now hopefully, I can get some hours instructing (once I get a job instructing) while I'm working at XJT. Could work out well if they're still hiring later on. |
