Default Fired.....

So...anyone got any good stories, since we don't have that part of the "announcements" section addressed yet?

I had some people in managment that WANTED to fire me when I worked at Toys-R-Us, but that was just their style; they fired someone every three weeks to keep everyone else on their toes.

Yeah, you know what a great feeling it is to know that it's the employee's that are bleeding that company to death because managment can't get a clue with how to treat people? That my friend, is capitalism at work; figure out how to run your business or come crashing down. TRU has it's head shoved so far up it's a$$ that it's never going to come out of this one.

I can't wait

Why should an employee treat it's customers any better than the company treats the worker?

I was fired from Shopko when I was 17 because Corbin kept showing up during my shift and tricked me into making out with him. That's my only firing experience.

I was actually sent home on my last night working at a bowling/restaurant/banquet facility. The funny thing was before my shift started a couple of other busboys came to me and said lets just walk out tonight. I said no, no need to burn any bridges. Anyway, I was moving the salad bar cart/display thingy because the lobby was getting crowded and the owner (crusty old man), started making noise about what I was doing. I responded, "Your son asked me to do it. If you don't believe me, ASK HIM" He did not like that response and got all fired up then told me to leave.

I went and found the other busboys/friends and told them what happened. They said alrighty then. They dropped what they were doing and walked out. (not a smart thing for them to do, but oh well.) The business was busy with a couple of banquets that night as well and they owners were not too happy when we all left. It felt good at the moment, but was not too smart on my cohorts part. Looking back it was just a silly teenage mistake. And to think we thought that we knew everything.

Well, Ms Thing, how the hell did Corbin trick you into making out with him? What did he say, the world was going to end in 15 minutes & he did not want to die a virgin?

At Cantor Fitzgerald, I was added to the lay off list when the President of the department, who was a guy, was making moves on me. When I turned him down, he started to make the moves on another guy & several weeks later I received my lay off notice. Well the president did not get laid, but I certainly did. He was fired about 6 months later, when several guys reported him to the HR department.

Hey, toys-r-us fired my brother! he fooled around too much..

I was actually "fired" from Stop & Shop. I refused to do carriages because it was freezing and it ended up causing a minor scene in the front dept.

I was on my temp to hire job work from 2P ~ 12A for 9 dollars per hour. 6 weeks later, they fired me for no reason. I like that job for one reason only - it made me strong as I have ever been. Now I can tow seneca I by myself . BTW, temp agency called me on the phone before the shift and said "I have been let go."

The best part of that story is I went in to say good bye to the people I worked with. 30 minutes later, I got phone call from temp agency whom questioned me my intention. Now the same temp agency try to recruit people to work for that particular company, even put the sign on the side of road.

John H., you probably know what company is.

One of my friends got fired from a job when it got out that she bought her boyfriend in after hours, and had sex on the conference table, in her bosses chair, on his desk, in the kitchen, on the sofa in the lobby, etc. To be honest, when I start a company - that type of behaviour will be promoted!!
