| we\'ve ADOPTED... a new kitty - that is... Ohhhhhh - had you going there didn't I?! haha
we haven't named her yet.. the name on her tag at petsmart was Squirt.. but she doesn't really seem like a squirt.. she's a definate love me cat but also very playful which is just Purrfect!! she's half calico, half tortie (i think)...
so far - only the name buh'ins (like buttons) or buddy comes to mind...any name suggestions for this little one (nothing to weird k?)?
I'll get a photo up as soon as I can (try to put it in my avatar for now, since i dont have upload capabitilities right now)
My other cats are pretty weird about it.. My Sasha whose 3 thinks it's no big deal really cuz she's used to kitty in the household (probably remember when we got sprite and brought her home to meet sasha).. but Sprite - man, complete 180! hissing, growling and for some reason, going after sasha (as if it's her fault NOT!).. so we've been trying to get out her aggression thru playtime and get her used to new kitty smell... so far, she's having a HARD time with it... |

Yea you did. my first thought was two cats and a baby. What are they doing with the baby when Network JC comes around? The cats you can leave at home, but the baby is another story.. |

Bringing a kitten into the house with adult cats is as popular to them as taking a swim and being shaved hairless. Man! |

| Re: we\'ve ADOPTED... Yup, the ones here in town (phx) have an adotion center for the rescue or humane society agencies... some have cats year round that are kept there till adoption. each cat we have actually came from the same petsmart.
baby has a bad case of the sneezes though, sneezes every few hours (and when she wakes up).. seems like she has some drainage or allergy issues. she already had her booster on friday, so it may also be attributed to that(?)... who knows.
no, we haven't named her yet.. we're still interested in Buh'ins and have added bear, mouse & peaches to the list... for the pirate ideas, we thought of polly but that doesn't really "fit" her...and couldn't really think of any other "pirate" type names (girl names)and doug decided no on anything aviation because aviation is "outside" the home for the most part - he doesn't want to have to think aviation (much) when he's home.. so anything like piper is out (even though I like piper as a girls name)...
I keep trying to think of something interesting because she's kind of an ugly duckling right now (except her face is as cute as a button/peach), but will probably turn out swan like when she grows out of her baby stage but just can't think of anything that would refer to the ugly duckling story...she walks and eats bear like so that's where bear fits in...she spunky, a fast learner, good at finding hiding places fast, runs and plays like a mouse.. she's fast & she plays with every single toy when she passes it (really, never seen a cat take to ALL the toys!).. her meow is very kroony and then gets loud like a teenager when she realizes your not coming to her "aid"...so it's just really hard to pick out a name for this little one...
I don't want to give her a people name because the people names are going to be reserved for our (future) dogs.. hahahaha
here are some new photos: |

| Re: we\'ve ADOPTED... yeah, but at least you don't have to deal with nasal drip, sneezy, watery eyes so she can't rest kitty.. I might take her into the vet today, she was all stwuffy last night and had a hard night trying to sleep....you try cleaning off her face with one hand... not easy when all she wants to do is play and rub her drippy nose into your chin (eeewwww...)! I bet it's even harder with human babies! hahaha
do baby cats always have to get colds? sheesh...3rd cat cold in this household! |
