ATTENTION! HEADS UP PEOPLE. The deadline for registration for the ZFW tour is TOMORROW. If you haven't supplied your information to me via PM, please do so now. (If you're wanting to go and wondering who the heck I am, please PM Doug or Kristie. I'm sure they'd be happy to vouch for me on this enterprise.) Thank you.

I did a ZFW tour with one of my classes in college. It was awesome. At the end, we did a simulation of being ATC with handing off aircraft and whatnot... I won. They gave me a copy of "The ATC Bible" among with other things.

I agree, my radio communications improved after I did the ZFW tour. I learned the 2 most wasted words controllers hate to hear. I didn't get anything but a free pencil after my sim. So SOMEBODY - "They gave me a copy of "The ATC Bible" among other things. "---------------"was found qualified and got an invitation for new career! |

Last-minute Attendee additions for the ZFW Tour: woodreau Island Flyer Island Flyer's wife cp4ku LoadmasterC141 killbilly The list has been submitted to my contact at ZFW and things will progress from there. At this point the ZFW tour will have to be considered closed to additional attendees, due to the processes involved. Additional M&G activities will be added to the itinerary once we know the full details of the ZFW tour. Thanks! - Firebird2xc

Oy. I knew this would happen to somebody. Sorry man. Either way, the tour may or may not be open to additional personnel- I set a hard deadline in order to make sure we know how long security approval takes. Once I get the initial 25 in, I'll ask about "late registrants". No promises, but I'm new at this whole "MAJOR Meet & Greet Stuff" (Who put Major, anyhow? That wasn't me- seriously. LOL)

| That too. Once I get this ZFW thing nailed down, there will be additional hijinks and a chance for someone to catch someone doing something embarassing on camera. Good times, always.

Wow I just came on this thread. Guess I missed the sign up for the ZFW tour but thats ok. I've seen it before. Can I still join on the social events? I'm furloughed so nothing else better to do. |

The social events will still be open to all who wish to attend, regardless of prior registration. The registration deadline that I previously posted was for the ZFW tour so I could coodinate tour approval with my ZFW contact. Please watch this thread for additional information concerning the M&G. Thank you! - Firebird2XC

Right now the tour is Friday, March 20th. As the tour will likely be in the AM, we'll probably do lunch or dinner at BoneDaddy's, etc. Follow-on activities will depend on the kind of attendance, fly-in personnel, etc.

I don't know how much it really matters at this point, but CN94559's CFI won't be joining. I talked to him today.

Shouldn't be a big deal. At this point it's just a matter of "getting someone on the list", etc.
