| Senior Member | ....at the third anual Tuskeegee Airman fly-in here in lower-slower Delaware on July 10th. Aparently I'm incharge of the flying part this year Every year we hold a big fly-in/airshow/lunch for the airman and usually have five or six original pilots come in. Last year we had 50 planes. This year for the airshow part I've got a bunch of Yaks comming down, a P-51, I think I've talked a guy with a B25 into doing a fly over, five T-6's, a group of Van's RV's, and an Extra 300L (well the last three were set up by the guy who used to hold the airshow, he's moving tommorow so he can't do anything to help he's to busy). We've got a guy that comes in with a huge grill and a pig and can serve over 300 people. Any one that flies in eats for free and I'll have more details about buying tickets in a couple days. Any one that comes down a little early can bring their swim suits with them and take a dip in my pools (free of charge ).The show will be held at DE25 which is about 60 miles south of Philly and east of Baltimore and has a smooth 3500' grass strip. Let me know if you have any questions. And all the profits of from the tickets goes to the Tuskeegee Airmen (yes they are still around). |
