Default So, how was the air show?

Wish I could have met up with some of you guys. Saw the T-Birds practicing the other day and also saw some of the air show today. What were the other featured a/c?

It was great. There were a lot of great exibits. The T-Birds were sweet. They had a lot of performers, more than I was expecting. And I got very sunburned.

Just take a really really really HOT shower, it will cure any pain associated with a sunburn

Glad to hear it went great!

I know that trick and I did that actually, and it worked great for about 15 minutes after I got out of the shower. Not quite worth the excrutiating initial pain of the hot water on the sunburn. Its starting to heal now though. I don't get it. Last time I was out at Moffet it was over 95 degrees, I was wearing no sunscreen and I didn't burn at all. Didn't think I'd have a problem this time. Oh, well. Next time I'll wear at ton of the strong stuff.

Nothing brings Americans together better than fighter jets and music. The T-birds were great, as well as the Patriots (civil L39 team) and the F-15 demo. Some nice prop flying as well. Thanks for sharing your advice Eric and Dale. Too bad there were only 3 of us...

I thought it was incredible. Niether Winnie or I had ever seen the Thunderbirds before. I loved the tour through the Space Shuttle's 747 shuttle.
Jordan and Eric It was nice to meet you. You two were both great guys. Eric you are a great spokesman for Sierra. You have a very thorough knowledge of aviation, make sure and update us on your check ride . . . Winnie and I sat in the Nasa Police golf cart until the line for the shuttles went down . . .wasn't too bad. I was limping around a bit yesterday morning, but recovered before the concert. Hope to see you again sometime soon. If you're ever up KSAC way come by and visit. Dale

As you are for ATP.

I've been to SAC a couple times before, I'm sure I will be again. I'll let you know when I am. As for my checkride, hopefully I'll have some good news for you tonight. Thanks for the encouragement though.

Temperature has nothing to do with it. I've gotten sunburned at 45 degrees here in Florida. It has to do with the amount of sunlight streaming through the atomosphere. Unfortunately, I think there is a giant magnifying glass over Florida.....

That makes sense actually. Last time was in September. I immagine we get more direct rays in late May. Well, its peeling away now and I look and feel like I'm a snake shedding its skin.

Oh yeah, and in case none of you read it elsewhere, I'm now a private pilot!
