| Old Skool | Okay, all. I've done a little bit of research and there are way too many hockey tourneys for me to play dictator and just pick one. So, I am going to post a few polls to find out exactly what you folks want to do. You've got until next Friday to answer the poll. Then I'll figure out what to do and we'll go from there. See ya on the ice! |

| Old Skool | Awww, crap. Know what it is? It won't start taking votes until 11:48 PST. I just accepted the default on the poll and it put in the time, but I forgot that it was PST! |

| Looks like we are in need of a good recruiter. |

| Old Skool | We need two, maybe three more skaters and we're good to go. And I'll look for tourneys in June in the midwest. |

| It's going to take a minor miracle for me to be able to do anything in June, especially on the other side of the country... I need a bit of new equipment (would be getting anyway for summer/this fall intramural).. but most importantly ice time and a way to get to the mid west ... All on a less than college budget. ![]() But i've seen bigger miracles ![]() |

| Old Skool | Okay, all. Here is what I have found so far. Two tourneys fall into the time frame that we're looking at, and the general location that you folks picked. Only one is actually in the Midwest, and it's in KC from June 25 to June 27. This is probably right up our alley as far as skill level goes, since it is a C level tourney. That's probably a good level for us because it looks like we've got a mix of ability levels. Check out the link below for more information. SBE, if we do go to this tourney, I expect you, your sister, and your boyfriend to be in the stands rooting for us. ![]() Shawnee Showdown The other one, while not technically in the Midwest, kinda is. Toronto is just across the border from Michigan so I guess it's in the Midwest, just a little further north. Cut me some slack here, folks, I'm trying. It takes place from June 11 to June 13. And it's call the Toronto Airport Challenge, so... Toronto Airport Challenge Let me know which one you want me to do more investigating for, and I'll get it done. |

| Although I can't contribute to the team, I can certainly coordinate the social activities associated with a KC based JC Hockey Tourney. I'm here to help.Sarah |

| I'd go with the Canadian tournament. Cheaper, better hockey location (I mean it is Canada folks!), etc. Just my humble opinion. |

| Old Skool | Okay, guys. It's time to fish or cut bait. Please visit this URL and send me by email the information that's needed for your roster spot. If you've got some people who are interested outside of JC, why not go for it. The more the merrier and with just 10 skaters, we might get tired if we go with just that. Right now, with the 11 people we have interested, that would be about $50 a pop. Not too bad for a weekend of hockey! Toronto Airport Challenge Registration Based on what I've seen people put down, I'll put us down for C level hockey. A lot of people say they haven't skated in a long time, and the first time we skate together will be the first game! |

| Moderator | So can those of us who can't skate well enough to play show up and laugh er, that is, cheer you on? Seriously, it would be a lot of fun to go to even if we don't participate in the game. |

| Old Skool | Of course you can. Toronto is a fun town. I'll have to check and see where the ice rink is so that we can find a hotel where we all stay. As far as the ability levels go, A is the highest, and it goes down from there. I figure based on having a mix of abilities, C is probably right about where we should be. Some people will be better than that level, and some will be worse. But that way, the team overall will be matched evenly with the competition. Also, we are looking at the Toronto Airport Challenge. Let me know the information, and folks, we're going to have to plunk down some money soon. So if we want to do this, we gotta move reasonably quickly. |

| Old Skool | I hate replying to myself....but we gotta pee or get off the pot on this. Guys, we've got 11 people who said they're interested. That means we'll have enough for a team. We'll also be able to split the $525 so that means it will cost each of us $48. Not too bad. Folks, it's time to pull the trigger. Right now, we've got the wide open shot and we're sitting there deking the goalie hoping he will fall on his face. Time to take the shot, boys. Are you in or not? PM me and let me know. |

| I still have to see if I can work things out, I'm pretty bad on being able to guarentee anything on a few month notice (yes, yes, I know ).Just remember that if we cannot work it out for this summer, there are hockey tourneys basically year round. On level C: I certainly hope there are some good players, because I'm probably an 'F' ![]() |

| I just PM'd you but I'd recommend you put us down as rec or D level. Is it the same tournament as the Appleton Rum Challenge? I didn't see the airport challenge in the link you gave. |
