| Big Chief's Woman | Let the Talks BEGIN: ok here's the scoop that I know of so far... November is out because of some big conventions (Comdex & International Aftermarket products) & the beginning of the holidays. Mid to end of October is out for doug & I because my sister will be due with her first child on Oct 30th (YEA!!! I'm gonna be an AUNT! )It seems to me that September and/or the beginning of October is going to be our best bet. you can take a look at the conventions going on -> HERE along with the dates/times and amount people that will be attending. I'm thinking that any conventions on a weekend with over 10,000 expected wipes out that weekend for a JCathon. Doug and I will be planning on staying in the four corners area (Tropicana, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM, NYNY) like we did last year and if we plan soon enough, we may be able to get some good rates in that area. If available and if we have enough people attending, we may be able to get discounted room rates at a particular hotel (dunno which). however, they usually expect more than 100 rooms rented well in advance and of course, we would need to collect the funds before getting the rooms... but we have not yet decided upon doing that. I would like an idea of who all will be able to make Las Vegas initially. With that being said - how does september/ begining of october look for everyone? |

| Count me in-Two rooms, 95 more to go. The end of Sept. or early Oct. works out really well for me. Enough time before the holidays and enough time after summer. (perfect time) Seriously though if you do want to get a lot of rooms together in advance, I will have no probs getting you or the hotel funds for my part! |

| Big Chief's Woman | I'm working on hotels and possibly a "meeting place" for the networking gig....21 and under during the day, 21 and over in the evening... btw - how many people are interested in "doubling up" for a hotel room? I'm thinking depending on how many we have, we could rent out the some rooms at the hawthorne suites because each suite has either double or king size bed with sofa bed and lots of floor space... along with kitchen area etc... also looking at the stardust end of the strip because we could get really good rates down there for meeting space, catering and rooms (who knows...right?) gimme your thoughts! I'll be calling for rates this week. |

| Stardust is great for things like that. They even have $1 blackjack, which can be fun without losing your shorts playing. I just got back from Las Vegas and I can't explain how fun it was. I passed out in a couple hotels with some girls I met and the rest of the time I stayed in a friends apartment. For any of you going there, I would definitely recommend Zoommanity. It is a great show and will leave you in aww. I konw there is at least one show better (O show), but it was well worth the money. |

| [ QUOTE ] btw - how many people are interested in "doubling up" for a hotel room? [/ QUOTE ] For someone like me doubling up would be a definite plus. Not gonna have a lot of extra expedible cash, so saving a few bucks here and there by splitting the cost of a room would be great. Also a good way to get to know people better. |

| Old Skool | I'm in for doubling up. Not like there will be much sleep anyway..... |

| Old Skool | If me and skibum can make it out (have set set a date on this yet?) then I'm sure we won't have a problem with doubling up on a room. Cheers John Herreshoff |
