Since there was an Oshkosh post, I wonder how many folks will be in or near LAL for Sun & Fun this year. If my plans hold, I'll be flying down April 16 and returning April 19. Maybe some of the Florida JC crowd would like to catch up.

My Sun & Fun plans have been replaced by .... drum roll please ... airline ground school plans! So, unfortunately, I won't get to catch up with some of the Florida JC crowd at this year's event. Guess it'll have to wait until I get a cushy MCO or TPA layover after I get out on the line!

Well, just got the confirmation from my friend. We've got a 172SP and a Sundowner blocked out for Thur and Fri, so I'm gonna risk my life and fly in. Should be interesting. My wife is going along for the ride, and she's gonna play backseat photographer. Hopefully I can get some decent shots of our near mid-airs.

Sweet. Lemme know and we can hook up. I'm trying to talk a buddy of mine into going (won't be hard), so we'll have a nice group of aviation geeks running around bugging the hell out the exhibitors. Might get kind of messy with all of us fighting for a seat in the cockpit of the King Air exhibit! But, HEY - that's what it's all about, right?

Okay, as promised, here are some pics from Sun-N-Fun.

Me fulfilling my duties handing out brochures.

AOPA's Twin Comanche. I like this paint job a LOT better!

All in all, it was a BLAST! I highly recommend that you take some time and go to Sun-N-Fun or Oshkosh or any fly-in/airshow for that matter! Makes the kid in ya come out!
