| Old Skool | From Eastern Panhandle of WV, born n raised in DE, PA is the one I picked, know it pretty well, closest to me, MD too could be an option . . . KMTN then go to Balt for the day or night. Time frame kinda whenever, just moreso when the warm/better weather gets here. |

| Old Skool | Hey, I got stuck in WV on a ferry flight from here to CA. Lake-effect snow and icing (mostly the icing) kept us in Charleston (CRW) for a day and a half...finally launched out very very early to get out before it started again. That was this past Dec. ![]() Just a thought, since I saw some PA, NY, NJ, etc, maybe some place in the middle, either CT or NY...let me know. |

| Is this like a fly in? And why north-east? Let's settle right smack dab the middle. Kansas maybe? |

| NY is the easiest for me. "Is this like a fly in? And why north-east? Let's settle right smack dab the middle. Kansas maybe? " Because a lot of the people in the AIM Chat are from the northeast. We have been talking about getting a group for NE for awhile, as California and LAS are on the opposite side of the country ![]() |

| Old Skool | How long of a flight is it from Newport, RI to Kansas, did you say? In a Cherokee 140? That's the factors I'm looking at keeping it from happening in Kansas; and yes, I thought that's what we were talking about was a fly-in...I could be wrong, though... ![]() |

[/ QUOTE ] Yup that's right...I guess we can call it a "fly-in". The point of having it in the Northeast area is so people in this area can meet eachother! Kansas isn't really in the north or the east! There also seem to be A LOT of people in the Northeast also, as I can tell by the chat room! ![]() |

| I might be up for something. I didn't vote because I don't really care where it is, and besides- I can't plan anything in advance (just ask Rausda27). Once I know when and where its going to be, I'll have a better idea of a go/no-go. |

| Senior Member | lets not get near the "presidential 30" though. As long as its not at DXR... we've all gotta be able to fly someplace! (however, I am checking at reserving the WHOLE exec ramp for a flyin for summer. With Hot Dogs and BBQ). -B |

| I live on Long Island and I would love a JC get together. I know its not right at an airport, but how would anyone feel about Manhattan? Its pretty easy to get to from EWR, TEB, JFK, and can be easily reached by public transportation (for those of us that do not have our PPLs). It's also kind of in the middle of the NY, NJ, CT, PA area. |

[/ QUOTE ] If it was in PA or wherever, I could swing down and pick you up in the cherokee, as long as you don't mind flying in a plane with a *gulp* propellor attached Most likely, I'll be flying with Tim06. I need the cross country time anyway. |

| Senior Member | Cool, you know there's a great place in South Jersey called flying W with a country club on the field and a swimming pool shaped like an airplane, even a golf course. Been meaning to go there some day. It's about 60 north of WWD. |

| Old Skool | Even though I am new on this board I would be down for a get-together. I also work for Marriott so if you need rooms I could most likely arrange something. |

No swimming until I look good in swimming trunks. 2. IN MARCH? COLD COLD MARCH!? Could be cool though. General note, not all of us are instrument rated, so if its an IFR day... whats the plan of action? I guess we just have to plan it first, then think about the bridge when we have to cross it. But thats the only thing about NE weather. The bridge keeps changing. |

| Yup, I live in Queens and I voted NY, although I could trek to NJ I guess. If it gets done near one of the 'big 3' (Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark) some of the airline guys could be invited if they are in town. |

I don't want to spend all of my money on cab fare from the airport! ![]() |

| I'm Stationed in Maine But i go home to NY on some weekends and I picked NYC because it's my Home. I don't care where it is ( JFK, LGA, or smaller GA Airports in the area). I will be there if it's in the New York City Area. I could probably make it to NJ if it's there ( but i don't know my way around and i'd have to drive there. It's to expensive to Rent out of NYCand LongIsland area ![]() |
