| Any of you PHX-area jc'ers interested in a casual get-together for either lunch or dinner and drinks sometime between February 19 and 22? I will be in SDL for the arabian horse show that weekend and would love to meet up with some of you. There's only so much 'horse show' I can handle! ![]() Sarah |

| Kristie: yeah, I did our hotel arrangements yesterday. I usually get a priceline deal down by PHX, it's cheap and a very easy drive up to Scottsdale. (my mother, sister and I always make this a family trip every year, but I usually try to find cause to wander away from the show several times! )We'll be arriving late morning on Thursday the 19th and departing late afternoon on Sunday the 22nd. I'm game for meeting up with anyone that is interested pretty much at any time during that stretch, anytime on Friday would probably be best but I can make about anything work! Sarah |

| Big Chief's Woman | We'll see what we can cook up.. since Doug and I live right in the area, we know the places to go depending on what you'd like to do. Doug's trying to get media passes for the event too just like he did for Barrett Jackson. |

| Already told Doug, but I'm in PHX for a few weeks for a family matter, I should still be here then. I say we BBQ at Casa de Taylor! ![]() |

| Big Chief's Woman | well, we know all the best places to go so we could either gather here or where-ever... For a friday/saturday night - you might enjoy Desert Ridge Marketplace Aloft... lots of teeny boppers there, but you'll like Jillians arcade with bar idea! and they have live bands on the weekends (free). If you need ideas on things to do/places to go adult wise, let me know and i'll impart my knowledge on THE places to hit... ![]() |

| Hey aloft - glad you'll be in town! I'm game for just about anything guys. Name a time and a place. As I said, Friday afternoon or evening would probably work best for me (and probably evening for you Kristie due to work, I know) but I can make about anything during that stretch work out (Thursday evening, Saturday...)I'm excited. We just had almost a foot of snow here yesterday, I've not been able to fly hardly at all due to our horrible weather and I am ready to get the heck out of here for a long weekend!!! Sarah |

| Big Chief's Woman | How about meeting up at either Arriba's (on the frontage road of 101 just south of Frank Lloyd Wright blvd) or at the sacred ground cafe/wine bar (bell rd & thompson peak, swc shopping center) for happy hour on friday the 20th? and then we'll just take it from there as on where to go/what to do for the evening... I'd be up for hitting Barcelona's if you all want to go there later in the evening (they turn the restaurant into a clublike atmosphere with a pretty good band... it's not too far away, but it is "snottsdaley" and dress to impress... I'm pretty sure I'll be staying home - I doubt I can get to florida with everything that's going on over there (NASCAR, spring break etc)... and if your interested in a party, some friends of ours are having a "mardi gras" party where you have to wear a mask & beads on that saturday night.. I could ask them if we can bring a few people -> it is over in Glendale however (at least a 45 min ride). thoughts? |

| Either works for me for happy hour. I think we ate dinner one night at Arriba's last year, so I think I know what you're talking about. Since I have one rental car for 3 people (my mom & sis accompany me on these trips every year), I may have to have them drop me off wherever and then pick me up once we are winding down. No big deal. aloft, you in? Pilot602? anyone else? Sarah |

| Big Chief's Woman | you could always have them drop you off and I'll drive you back later, that way they don't have to be bothered too much... or their welcome to join as long as sis is over 21? |

| Kristie: Saturday is the bigger night of the two. We aren't showing though. We just go watch every year, and make it a nice little vacation to escape the freezer here in Missouri. It's a looooong drive from KC with the horses so we've never been able to justify the expense of showing there. The furthest we go is to Nationals in Albuquerque every other year. We have lots of friends who did make the drive though and will be showing! I'd be more than happy to show you around and explain some of the finer details (horse shows are so friggin' complicated!) Anyways, Arriba's sounds fine to me. I can be there at any time as I'll just be at the show all day...so whatever works for everyone else. Sarah |

| I think I'll be able to make the airshow but with my schedule the way it is I'm not possitive. If I do make it I'll arrive around one. |

| Kristie: Got a question for you. My sister and I are wanting to do some hiking. I know Doug (and I'm assuming you) is into mountain biking - what are some good, off-the-beaten path, scenic trails around the Phoenix area? We want to go to Sedona but really don't have the time to drive up there. Thanks! Sarah |
