Speaking of Corbin, where is he?

When I get back, some of the fighter pilots in the AO here were planning on a weekend of debauchery in Vegas, and I was going to see if Corbin and anyone else wanted to come along.

Will keep it a couple notches below Tailhook......

Corbin?

Mike, do you mean the Mardi Gras in Springfield, MA?

If it is, I uhhh, hear that can be an interesting place from... ahem,.. people.

And Michelle, just so you know, Cobin's going to come to DougFest 2004 and we're taking him on a trip. Don't ask any questions and he won't be forced to tell you any lies!

Mardi Gras in Springfield it is! Whenever we transit across the Atlantic, our jump-off point (and return point) is Westover ARB north of Springfield in Chicopee. We almost always stay at the downtown Springfield Holiday Inn....the one with the restaraunt on the top floor and the "airline crew room", complete with computer, mini-gym, movies and comfy chairs. Holiday Inn is a covenient 2-block walk from the Gras.

One of the nicer places.

Yeah, Corbin is going to come out with us and have a time with his "daddy's group" in Vegas.

Corbin, who's your daddy?

I stayed at the HI in Springfield many a times!

Heck yeah! Great bar upstairs too! One of the front desk ladies would always give us a handful of drink chips to use upstairs.

Did you ever go to the Cajun restaraunt called "Chef Waynes Big Mamoo" down by the post office?

And yes, Corbin's all ours! Muhahahaha!!

Same for us, free drink chips for the bar that was the other half of the top floor restaraunt. Great view from up there of C-5s on approach to Westover.

Went to Chef Wayne's last year when I was there. Great food! For Taxachusetts, Springfield is a nice town. Wanted to visit the NBA hall of fame just down the road from the HI, but didn't have a chance to.

We'll make Corbin a new man..................

Chef Wayne's "Sausage and Chicken 'Yaa Yaa'" was absolutely heaven on a plate.

I'd better start saving up for LAS now because this is going to be primo.

Corbin... CORBIN!! I know you're reading this man!

Holy CRAP! We were gone over the weekend at the cabin--snow mobiling was sweet. No Corbin hasn't been reading this cause he's a busy busy guy and I hog the computer. Mike if you can get Corbin in a fighter plane-he would love you for life. That is like his biggest dream in the world. I don't know how you go about that, but I have heard of guys getting to go dog fighting or something. Anyway-Corbin will be happy to drive your drunk buns around during the night of deubachery (that was his own comment there). But he is alcohol free, and that is not just a religious choice and it's a slight sore subject so don't give the guy a hard time when he is drinking straight Dr. Pepper please.

He doesn't necessarily need to be drunk to enjoy the night's festivities, though it would help. He just needs to be available.............

For starters, craps and blackjack at the Mandalay Bay.

Then, he'll take the lead as first guy in at the door at:

www.playitagainsams.com

www.ogvegas.com

....among other places.

TheWife: Stop hogging the computer...

Corbin: quit passing messages through TheWife.

Talk to us NOW! I know your fingers aren't broken.........yet.

There's details to be worked out man!

Unfortunately, Corbin doesn't have a choice in the matter. We'd settle for the Dr Peppers, but him pulling out of the gig (or being pulled out, for that matter) is unacceptable. His prescence is needed, and he doesn't even have to drop that much in the way of $$$ while he's there. It's gonna be "daddy's time", and he damn sure is going to be present.

Put Corbin on here, since there's details that I need to discuss with him.

The next post I get from that computer better be from PilotCR....

Bossy. Geez. The only thing we are going to have time for while there in March is maybe a lunch or dinner together if any one else is around.

Let me just ask you-would you try to peer pressure an Amish person into using electricity? Cause I don't get why you'd want to pressure Corbin into doing things that he shouldn't. Are you trying to test him?

Nah....we just need a designated driver; plus you offered him up anyway. Hell, his expenses can be paid while he's here.

So far as Amish people, I'd give them a taxi ride in a car.

Well I told him he was being paged to this site and he laughed and went back to his tv. Sorry. Are you guys going to be there in March? Are you even home yet? He needs a long cross country flight too, so maybe he can fly to Vegas while some one else is there to meet up for lunch or something?? Anyway-I know he won't go into any clubs with you. He MAY spend a couple $5's at a card table but that's probably about it. And don't even THINK about Mustang Ranch okie dokie!

Michelle, why don't you come along too? The clubs we'll be going to encourage couples to attend. It's lots of fun. Hell, I'll even pay for your lap dances. They even have rooms wth "private entertainment" too.

Um, no. We are bringing Caleb with us when go in March. We don't go to clubs. Neither of us. Corbin hates dancing too so he wouldn't even go to a "tame" club. Guess we are just too boring for you. But if you are up just hanging out or having lunch together, then let us know.

Sure you don't want to live a little? You don't know what you're missing. Give it at least 10 minutes in one of the gentleman's clubs, then make your decision.

Not like you'd be doing anything illegal.....

We do know what we are missing because we were both beyond wild "back in the day". I am not sure if you are just giving me a hard time or if you really don't understand that it is VERY much against Mormon religion to participate in those type of activities. Going to the temple is a very special and important part of our faith and to enter the temple we have to abide by certain standards. It's not something where we can just "slip up and repent tomorrow". If either or both of us went to a stip club, drank, etc. we'd be in for some serious trouble. We don't take our committments lightly. If you are just trying to be friendly, then I appreciate all the effort your going to, but we'll have to pass. But if you are just giving me a hard time because you know we can't (won't) go, then stop being such a teaser!

No hard time being given. Just trying to be a good host. Remember, being non-mormon, I haven't the first clue what mormons can and can't, or should or shouldn't do. If you all want to decline, fine.

But I would like to know, how Corbin never wants to talk to us? I mean, he's got something like 10 posts, compared to your 1258. Corbin got something against us, or do you (respectfully) do the talking for him?

Purely a curious question

He just isn't in to message boards. That's all. If I do the talking for him it's cause he is too lazy to bother, not because I am not letting him. He spends most of his day on school, work and flying and when he's done he watches tv and does house work. I, on the other hand, spend most of my day talking to a not quite two year old, and cleaning. I get VEEEEEEERY bored. So I tend to blabber a lot on the net. He has his own computer down stairs too, so if he really wanted to be on here, he would be, even if I am hogging my computer. He's got nothing against any of you at all. In person he is quite social, a lot more then me in fact. I tend to be the shy one. He just isn't into the message boards.

I'm sorry for assuming that you knew we couldn't do that stuff-I thought you were just insiting to either tease or test our faith. But really truley honestly, things of a sexual nature, alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling, etc. are all against the "rules" for Mormons. Not that we haven't broken every rule in the past, but that was before we were active members, and we honestly like it a lot better without what others would call "the fun stuff".
