| Old Skool | So I'm thinking sometime in June would be a great time for those of us in the Atlanta JC collective to gather once again. When would be good for you? Also, suggestions for eatery would also be most excellent. I don't have a schedule yet for the month, so I really can't contribute. Just figured we could get talking about it right now instead of a week prior. Also, for those new(er) JC Atlanta area members, please indicate if you would be interested - along with the established JC members . . . indicate your interest - and (if you don't mind) what portion of the city you live in so we can try to organize something that is easy to get to for everyone. |

| I'm in assuming my schedule allows. Sched is highly variable, so I'll be playin it by ear. Downwind works for me, but I'm biased since I work out of PDK.....oh, and they have beer!! Chris Last edited by SuperKingAir; May 12th, 2008 at 20:51. Reason: Beer of course!!! |

| Sounds good to me! I'm currently residing in an ASA training hotel for class. Surreal, are still in your hotel for training? Shoot me a PM - we might be in the same hotel...would be nice to meet a fellow JC'er!

I live down south of the airport (a ways), so I finally just pulled the plug on the hotel since I was essentially done with my time at FSI. Hoping to start IOE soon (before June 1). Just tell me they didn't put you guys up in the Wellesley Inn.

| Newbie | I'd definitely like to meet people in the area! The Chophouse at RYY seems to be pretty snazzy took a trip down there yesterday! So when do you think? It would definitely have to be a weekend for me. ![]() |

I'd really like to meet some local pilots. Even though I'm not a pilot as of this moment.

| The Downwind at PDK works perfect for me as I live in Midtown and fly out of PDK. My schedule is crazy between social events and a week long vacation to the Smokey's I have planned in June (18th to 24th), but if I am available on the day picked I will certainly make it a point to attend. |

| Senior Member | Fine be like that and stay up on the snooty northside. ![]() If and when you get to the FFC area take a look at this place. Awesome. I'm only let out of the dungeon a few hours a week, and this is close enough for the FFAA's ankle bracelet monitor to keep track of us. http://www.maguiresirishpub.com/ |

| Old Skool | ![]() Just pray you never get starched sheets. . . I couldn't EVER fall asleep that evening, at least not in the bed. I ended up sleeping in the office chair with my feet up on the desk. Good luck though, and let me know if you have any questions about the process. Also, if you're into gaining even more information about the company there is a great collective of us over on another forum. Of which, I'll pm you about right now. |

| First post! I fly a Mooney out of 9A1 - Covington. Also fly Part 91 SIC in LJ24, 25 and 35s. Always like to meet up with other pilots in the Atlanta area. If I'm around, I'll be there for a get together. |

| Old Skool | I still have no damn clue when I'm actually going to start IOE, or if I even will or if I'll be out on the street before the start of it. Nevertheless, once I know something I'll be able to provide my input. As much as I'd hate to drive to the northside of Atlanta, I'll do it of course to meet such a great group of aviators. |

| I'm still in provided that I'm in town....seems I've been on RON's more than usual lately. I'll still vote for my biased favorite, the Downwind at PDK. Chris |

| Old Skool | Nothing concrete, but it looks like the place up at PDK is where the majority would like to get together at. When do you guys want to know a drop dead date for a decision to be made? Or - how about anyone that is interested, if you happen to know your schedule for the month of June, let's hear what Saturdays would work out. Also, what time of the day would you guys prefer? Noon, Afternoon, early Evening? |

| Sounds good to me. I fly out of PDK (mostly) as well. RYY is about 5 minutes from where I live, but PDK will definately work. Look forward to meeting some ATL pilots since I fly single pilot IFR. Quote:

| I don't think anyone put the link for the place at PDK: http://www.downwindrestaurant.com/ SATURDAYS IN JUNE: The 7th or 14th of June is all that works for me!!! June 7th is the PDK Appreciation Day or something like that. So that day may not work since it'll be crowded as it's a mini airshow that afternoon from like Noon to 4pm or something like that. Could be fun for us, but probably too crowded for us all to meet up that day and really relax over a drink at The Downwind. The event I refer to is listed on their page: www.pdkairport.org/index.asp June 14th works perfect for me. Anytime that day works. June 21st I am in the Smokey Mountains on a camping trip. So no can do. June 28th I am most likely going to be in Ohio on business. So no can do. |

| As it stands now, June 14 at PDK would work for me.
