Sorry I missed it, I was in NH attending to this sadness of my angel: HAMPTON — Lara S. Bunce, 17, of Hampton died Thursday, June 12, 2008. She was born Oct. 27, 1990, in Exeter, the daughter of Graham and Jenifer (Mack) Bunce of Hampton. She was a lifelong resident of Hampton and attended Winnacunnet High School, where she was a junior. She was a scholar athlete, playing soccer and running track. Once again she and her team were state champions and were to have competed this weekend in Saco, Maine, for the New England Championship. Her team will now run three segments of the four for Lara. In addition to her parents, survivors include her sisters, Kiley C. Bunce of Hampton and Kristina D. (Bunce) Zigler and her husband Christopher of Atlanta; her paternal grandparents, Tom and Barbara Bunce of Rye Beach; her maternal grandmother, Gloria Mack of Skillman, N.J.; her aunts and uncles, Elizabeth and Jonathan Clausen, Kathleen Mack, Frances Merritt, and Margaret and Peter Mason; and her cousins, Alex and Evan Clausen, Margaret McNamara, John Merritt, and Heather and Reid Morgan. She also leaves behind many soccer and track teammates and friends; they were her second family. WE REMEMBER: Anyone who had ever seen her play soccer or run could glimpse the passion and spark Lara brought to her life and the lives she touched. Yet, she was much more than an athlete, she was a member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Locks of Love, Hobbs House and the prom committee. A light went out not just in our family, but in the hearts of all the lives she touched. Lara you do not go alone, for a part of us went with you, when the angels called you home. Lara's message to all was always, "Life is too short to be anything but happy." SERVICES: A celebration of Lara's life will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Church, 500 Breakfast Hill Road, Greenland. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. |
