| Re: JetCareers Beach Party Race week? Daytona? I second R2F! Most of the decent hotels in Orlando are gone for that one, and so are the airline seats. Non-rev would be a nightmare. |

45 minutes to an hour depending on the aircraft. 2.5 hours by car. Why? You guys heading this way for Spring Break? |

I'll third that. This town is nuts during race week.
If you're really serious about coming to Daytona, I can help with airport transportation and reccomend some good hotels. It's not the prettiest town, but there is lots to do here and hotels are cheap. If you fly in I can work something out with the FBO where I work so you could probably park for free as well.
It's a fun town, but I've been to more beautiful places. If you're looking for great scenery, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a fun fairly cheap time it's a good option. |

| Re: JetCareers Beach Party You can get rooms if you make reservations now. Even the Speedway Hampton Inn still has vacancies. There is also a new Holiday Inn Express nearby that has TONS of rooms available, and for less than $85/night. |

| Re: JetCareers Beach Party you won't catch me at race week in Daytona.. or spring break.. or bike week.... no way jose!!!!!! too many crowds, too much testosterone = too many headaches!
I'm up for maybe key west, clearwater beach (as long as it's not mosquito or humidity season), san diego/La Jolla (I think it's around there somewhere?) catalina island (LA) or a cruise into the western carribean!! |

| Re: JetCareers Beach Party pleeeaase please please pretty please can we go to the Zelmusikfest in Freiburg for 2004? I promise everyone will have a good time (and it gives jede Menge Beer!)
ok clearwater is also good. St. Pete beach is also not so crowded during the hot summer months.
I have such a wish to meet everyone! I've met Tim06 so far, but I believe he's very scared of the way I fly
oh just kidding!
Imagine this: JCers playing mini-golf ultra competitively while describing bone-breaking IFR approaches. Now that would be cool. |

| Re: JetCareers Beach Party OH BOY! I found the website for the Zeltmusikfest, but its still from 2003 http://www.zmf.de/
it'll give you an idea of what they do there.
I think a get together in Germany would just be pure fun. |

JC beach party huh? How about somewhere on the Maine coast? The beaches (err... rock ledges) are wonderful and the water is ah... refreshing! I'm sure Acadia would be happy to suggest some local hot spots. Alright... So florida sounds better.

Great. Now I want crawfish. Thanks a lot.
I freaked my parents out the first time I ate crawfish with them. They were like "So, THAT'S what you learn in college." Mississippi State Crawfest was definately an event I looked forward to. Unfortunately, there are no good places to get crawfish in Florida. I have to have them flown in from New Orleans by a fellow SWA ramper.... |
