| Big Chief's Woman | It was really nice putting a face to a name AND finding out that SteveC is just as fabulous in person as he is online! ![]() Too bad we couldn't hang out more....next time you're in town, you can just camp out at Casa Taylor....as long as you give my ranch of kitties some attention (they need it, they're fighting/playing bad tonight). |

| I always figured the people that said how cool you guys are IRL were just sucking up. Well, I still think they were, but you guys are. ![]() Thanks you two, that was fun. Let's do it again some time. (Come to Michigan and meet MrsC - she's really the fun one.) ![]()

| Agent Smith | I'm about to leave for the airport, want us to drop a couple beers by on the way out? We'll be less than a block away where we take the frontage road to get on the 101.

| Thanks, but I'll pass. My body is still on east coast time and I'm hitting the rack. Appreciate the offer! Have a good trip!

| Steve, you were in Phoenix and didn't let me know. That's it, you're off the Festivus card list. |

| Agent Smith | Still feel guilty for calling poor Steve "Bill". Just texting UAL's hiring captain about NetworkJC before I pulled up to SteveC's hotel, rolled the window down and said, "Are you Bill?" DOH!

![]() I thought that was one of the best opening lines I'd ever heard! It was funny, 'cause I'd just been relaxing in the nice warm Scottsdale sunshine, thinking that while I knew what car Doug would be driving and that I'd surely recognize him from numerous pictures on the site, he'd probably have no idea what I looked like. (Even though there are pictures of me floating around here from past mini-M&G's, it's probably been a couple of years since any have floated up to the surface, so I have this undeserved reputation for being the "mysterious" SteveC.) I see Doug pull into the drive so I get up and start walking towards his car, and I see him scanning the faces of different guys that are standing around the entrance, so I give him a little wave, walk up to the car, and he says "Are you Bill?". I laughed out loud because it so perfectly matched what I imagined his thought process would be as he is about to meet an "unknown" for the first time. Funny stuff, and completely unintended. Just like conversing on a website where *message sent* can be so different than *message received*. I was lauging at the humorous sarcasm that wasn't intended, and Doug was embarrased about a faux pas that wasn't received. ![]()

That was my first thought too!I should have Dad send me a pic of the farm house to post. I wonder if it's even visible beneath the 100+" of snow they've had so far this season! ![]()

| ![]() When I can safely get a ladder up and get on the porch roof, then the wreath will come down. The garland on the grape arbor is the wife's to deal with. ![]() GRR has had the snowiest February on record, and some areas of west Michigan are over 100" for the year. No where near what the ski areas out west get, but pretty significant for around here.

| Up in the northernlands, Christmas decorations officially become Winter decorations January 1st. They remain so until every bit of snow has disappeared and the dwellers are able to finally remove the decoration. The dwelling will appear naked only for about 2 months, then the decorations will again be set in preparation for Christmas prior to the first snowfall.
