Default DALLAS for Amateur Poker 2/18

I'm going to Trinity Hall tonight to play amateur Texas Hold 'Em.

No money required, or involved. Tourny winner gets a gift certificate.

If anybody else is interested, here's the info:

Trinity Hall Irish Pub

| Website
5321 E Mockingbird Ln Ste 250, Dallas, TX
Monday is poker night here. Arrive around 7pm and see how long you last. The player with the most chips wins a gift certificate.

See you there!

Bollocks. If I were at the parents house I'd be in, but I'm out at school in FW.

Maybe next week, then.

I got a few bad hands and wound up being first out at my table in the first round, but at the Loser's Table I killed- took the table.. and won an automatic seat at the final table next week.

Hopefully I'll be able to attend- pesky reserve days.

Hope to see more folks there!

I played in a poker thing like that once and had the same thing happen. The prize for winning at the losers table was a dinner for two at a nice restaurant in town. It went from 8 players to me and this old vet with a USN hat on with lots of pins. He had a commanding chip lead and his wife stood behind him the whole time, obviously already looking forward to the meal.
I beat him and took my wife out to dinner.

Yep, every Monday.

Assuming I can get off my reserve day early enough this coming Monday, I'll
be back to claim my pre-reserved seat at the final table for Monday's prize.

Hey, somebody's gotta keep you guys honest...Might as well be lil' ol' me! Either that or all the flying I've been doing starting at 0455 the past 3 days (and tomorrow) has turned my brains to mush.

No real money involved. Tournament style play.

Winner gets a gift cert to the establishment. Great Irish pub!

I understand that, but is it no limit hold 'em? Meaning you can go all in, or is it limit hold 'em, where you can only bet, raise and re-raise a certain amount?

Oh.. dur. It's no limit. Blinds are raised at timed intervals.

No buy-in required.

Dag nabbit, I didn't make it.

Sorry I missed ya... I'll make another one soon!
