| Old Skool | Yeah, I hope you guys don't mind dragging a flatlander around a bit. It's been about a year since I've been on skis on anything steeper then Ohio can offer. Oh yeah... and I haven't skied any powder in about 3 years. Should be... interesting |

| Old Skool | It's cool, I suck at skiing to be extremely honest with you.

| Old Skool | Nothing wrong with MSP. I'd just rather not have to go through Billings as well to get to SLC. |

| Old Skool | I really want to thank both John and Emily for their great hospitality the last two days while I was out skiing in SLC. You guys rock. A few pictures of TheShortTrain up at Deer Vally. I bet he wears the helmet in the RJ too. ![]() Look at that form. Obviously an instructor ![]() There wasn't really that much powder left (5 days after the latest storm) but it sure beat the east coast ice I'm used to. ![]() So this picture has a bit of a story. Emily was teaching a half day lesson, so John and I met up with her around lunch time and then headed out to ski. We dropped down into some "woods" (actually, we on the east coast would call them glades, as they are WAY too thinned out to be woods) and scooted along a little traverse to find some good (ie, not too cut up) lines down. Emily dropped in first and then John a few seconds later. I was about to head down when I heard this really loud scrapping-clunking-thunking noise and then Emily laughing and saying "get a camera". I skied down and this is what I saw. Of course, my regular camera was too frozen to work at the time, so the trusty Treo had to pick up the slack. I realize in typing this up, it really isn't as funny as I'm thinking it was, but it was still amusing. The other funny part was that John wiped out about 10 feet up the hill from where she was. I tried getting a picture of that too, but there was a tree in the way. ![]() |

| If any of you out of towners decide to do it again, let me know. I'd be happy to put you up in a cabin about fifteen minutes out of Park City. Looks like we have another storm on the way!
