Camping Disco Party May 3-4 2008

We will be hosting the 1st annual Camping/Disco Party on our 30 acres in Grass Valley, California on May 3-4. We have 7 campsites already built and will have 21 sites done by then. (Maybe more) Our property is located about an hour north of Sacramento in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

People can come as early as Friday to set up campsites, and could leave as late as Monday. The main event will start Saturday. We will be doing a pig in the ground Hawaiian style. We will watch the Kentucky Derby and then have our feast in the afternoon. After dark we will fire up the disco music, with Strawberry Daiquiris being the featured refreshment. The next morning we will have breakfast.

Those interested please RSVP. As the event gets closer, we will send out an evite to those who have responded. We are working out logistics such as transportation to and from KSMF. We would suggest sending the camping gear out FedEx and then we will arrange for pickup after the event. (Use those benefits!)

We had 25 people camp out here this year, and are expecting more already to come to next one. Win and I decided we would like to extend the invitation to our friends here at JC.

so ummm... does anyone know if there's a way to "rent" camping equipment? we have none...want to make it but aren't big "campers" so we don't want to buy the major stuff... sleeping bags won't be a problem.

Mark, name it I've got it. Tents, sleeping bags, stoves, backpacks, cookware, utensils, anything. You just have to come up to BGR to get it.

We'll look into a local rental place and see about having stuff here. We also will have a couple inside sleeping situations as well

I've put the idea in Mrs. R2F's head, so we'll give a tentative "HELL YEAH!"

As for camping gear, we've got a 5 man tent that we'll gladly share with two other folks (Doug & Kristie.......Seggy & Alli.....Max and.......

).

We love campin'...and dancin'....and drinkin'...so......what's not to love?!?!

I live in NorCal, not far from Grass Valley and have tents and stuff galore between myself, my brother and my parents, so folks are welcome to borrow stuff if they want to. Just let me know.
