| Senior Member | So I was thinking that a meet and greet in ATL could be a fun thing to do since DL is based here...I could arrange a tour of TechOps maybe some other fun activities if I can pull some strings. Just seeing if anyone would be interested...maybe around August 10th-ish. Perhaps Doug could join us? |

| Agent Smith | 10th I'm on the road! But you don't need me there! I got a text message from Rausda and I think he's meeting some other JC'ers down at that English (Irish?) joint down VA Avenue.

| Junior Member | We had an impromptu M/G as I was down visiting Falcon Aviation in Peachtree City. Texasflyer, Surreal1221 and Rausda hung out for a few beers. Wish I had seen this earlier, ILS, we would have asked you to join us.

| Old Skool | Any updates? Venue of choice? If needed, my father works in the small engine test cell (MD's, 737, and CRJ's) at TechOps if we need another avenue for a tour. |

| pretty sure I'm game as well. I can provide access to the GO area as well as TechOps. I'm still working on sim time. We did an engine out eval in 757-2 end of last week, sorry ILSStud it was an extreme last minute thing of "hey the session scheduled cancelled, you all want it?" and first thing in the morning didn't think you wanted to be interrupted getting your sleep. I basically ran the sim during the eval for my GM, who is a qualified sim instructor/operator, and the duty pilot/engineer in the group, flight freeze, position reset...yadda yadda yadda. After we got what we needed I got my shot at V1 cuts and some landings. Pretty sweet bird, but a giant leap from the 172's I'm used to buzzing around in. Let's just say that they could have put arrestor cables on the runway and the landing would have been pretty fitting. A little "firm" as my manager put it, but I enjoyed getting to do some work, if you could call it that, outside of the normal work environment. I'll keep you posted on that, but am game to grab some dinner/adult beverages and allow some outsiders a chance to see an inside view of the airline. If we need someone to take the lead, I don't mind doing it. Or if someone is already planning it, forgive me and just abuse me to get you in, I'll understand. Looking forward to meeting some of you all next Friday. |

| Okay, we'll go ahead and get the ball rolling on this thing. I'm thinking about meeting at around 6:00 for dinner, followed by a tour of the GO (sims) and then a tour at the TOC. I feel like the tour at the GO will be short and sweet, basically look at the training devices and then check out the sims. I won't be able to get any flight time in them for anyone, but we can hop in and take a quick look at a few of them if they are open. I figure this will take about an hour or so. Then we'll head over to the TOC and take a look at the aircraft and some of the maintenance areas if anyone is interested in that. I feel like we should be finished up around 9:30 or 10:00 that night. If anyone wants to suggest meeting earlier, I can definitely do that. I'm game from anytime after 4:30, but I didn't know where everyone is coming from and how reasonable that would be with traffic. I most definitely wouldn't mind doing it earlier, would actually prefer it, but I can do it later if need be. If you plan on attending this Friday, PM me with your name as shown on driver's license (so I can go ahead and get preauthorization from security so we don't wait at the gate forever) and your vote for eating. I'm suggesting Ruby Tuesday's, Spondivits, or Malone's for dinner. I can't vouch for Spondivits, but Malone's is good at a pretty reasonable price and Ruby Tuesday's is well.....Ruby Tuesday's. Along with all your info. let me know if you would be down for meeting earlier on Friday afternoon and what is the earliest time you could meet. I need this information by Thursday morning EDT, and I will post the final plans with regards to a time if earlier and the planned restaurant, along with providing my cell and work numbers in case there are any last minute questions. I can also provide directions to the area if need be. I plan on leaving the restaurant in as few vehicles as possible so that we can get through security easier. I have an Expedition I can drive that day and it can seat 8. We can basically carpool over and pick the cars up when we're done. Looking forward to meeting some fellow aviation fans on Friday. |

| Old Skool | My vote is Malone's. 6pm is fine by me, but earlier is also alright. Last flight of the day ends at 3pm. I'll PM you my information once I have an approved kitchen pass from the wife. ---- And kitchen pass approved ----
