| Old Skool | Yeah, I know. But it's my husband's annual company summer party that night, and they gave away huge freaking prizes, like last time there was over 40 prizes, ranging from ipods and ski gear to snowblowers and 72" plasma tv's and you have to be present to win. And we probably won't win, but if we found out we did and WEREN'T there, I'd never forgive myself. |

| Don't bother, they don't take such requests. We can pull tables together on our own or take over a corner of the room....

I'm in mapleton just south of spingville. I think I may have seen Corbin before. Did he do his training at the uvsc?

| A question, guys... What's the general landing direction at SLC in the mid-to late morning? Obviously what will be will be, but for planning purposes, coming form the east (via MTU) what should I anticipate (either IFR or VFR) with an arrival time about 10-11 am? |

34/16 L/R are generally too busy with jets to accommodate small airplanes.

| SLC generally lands north, but with the low that'll be parked just west and north for the next couple days, we could very well see a south flow. IFR in a GA aircraft, expect your routing to be MTU -> FFU, then vectors. 35/17 is the easternmost "GA" runway.

| 32/14 is closed. most mornings lately we have been taking off and landing south, small plane your gonna get 17 or 35 if landing north, GA parking is all on the east side nearest to 17/35

| Old Skool | Is 34/12 closed permanently? I always thought of it as a sort of useless runway in regards to the rest of the complex.

| No, it's not closed permanently, just being resurfaced--nor is it useless...the AMF'ers and and Corporate Air guys use it every day as it's a shorter taxi to the cargo ramp. When 17/35 was closed a few weeks ago, they were actually landing people on 14, giving them a base leg at the numbers for 17. I was given a clearance of "cleared to land runway 14, remain east of runway 16 left at all times"...that was fun. ![]()

| Looks like I'm not going to make it. I had to drop off my wife at the airport this morning to fly to New England and I'll be following tomorrow. Serious family illness. |
