Default Not really a M&G, but Fly22 caught fish

It was pretty windy, the fishing wasn't spectacular, but we had a good time.

And yes, Joe caught more fish than I did.

A good guide always catches less then his client. He wouldn't let me take a picture of his mug so everyone gets to see mine.

Just a plug for Ben. If he offers to take you fishing take the invite. This guy knows his river!!!

I *heart* the Dunnster.

I actually met him opposite direction on an escalator in ATL.

No I know it wasn't an insult. They are small fish no stories here. A pic is worth a thousand words.

Ummmm ya I don't think Asher is the position to do that at the moment.

As long as we get into the stretch of river that I originally intended to get us into we should get into some bigger fish. I never expected to see that many people up on a monday. Early wednesday morning should get us whatever water we want.

The last time I went fishing, I ended up getting a hook stuck in my butt cheeks, then my college roomates dad, getting it out with a pair of plyers with me mooning one of the biggest party lakes in New Jersey.

Yeah, fun times....

I HATE fishing.

ROUND 2

For those not impressed with our previous outing:

We caught a few little ones to start, I hooked and fought two really
big rainbows, but broke both of them off just feet from being in the
net (expletives were shouted).
Joe landed the first nice one after a long fight:

Then I landed one of the few Brown Trout today, not bad for a snakefish:

Then I started in on the Rainbows and it just didn't quit:

Joe Landed another nice healthy Bow

I got the biggest fish of the day though, when we stretched him out he measured 21 inches
and he easily weighed 5 pounds, pretty big in this water.

Its hard to tell from the pictures how healthy these Trout are, they don't get very long, but they
are very thick and muscular. Even the little ones put up a really good fight.

I haven't had that good a day fishing (for myself) in years.
I love spring time.

Sweetness man. The biggest trout I ever caught fell back into the creek due to faulty equipment, my creel didn't latch.

All I can say is good times.

Ole Ben slammed them today. That guy was on fire. Rocks became fish on the end of his line, it was insane. He probably caught 40 fish.

Joe,

Are those the same clothes you were wearing a few days ago when you went fishing? Eeeewww.

Seriously though, beautiful fish and very beautiful landscape. Makes the nice city here look unattractive....

Oh snap my wife was on here.

Ya they were the same waders and jacket. I can't afford two pairs of waders for style and even my wife hates this comfy green jacket.

No bait, thats illegal (and no fun), we were using immitation patterns for some of the local bug life.

The Sow bug (pill bug, potato bug) was the primary menu item. I picked up a rock from the river bottom and turned it over and they were crawling all over it. The fish were just sticking their noses in between the rocks and munching these bugs all day. A lot of other bugs were in the water, midge and mayfly larvae and adults were coming out too. But the fish just kept after the sow bugs.
