Still planning on going out in Ft. Worth for me. I have dinner at 7:30 for a friends birthday, then I'll probably be at the Saucer or the Gingerman. If anyone is comming to Fort Worth, drop me a note and I'll get you my cell#.

I still haven't heard any good ideas for a M&G, so here's my suggestion...a place I bartended at for a little while. In the Ballpark in Arlington (Ameriquest field, or whatever they call it now) has (or at least had) a Friday's Front Row in it. Let's meet there at 6ish or whatever time is good for people. It's between Dallas and Ft Worth, then if anybody wants to make it a late night, they can go either direction. Find directions to the ballpark where the Texas Rangers play and let me know what time is good for people. I am open to other suggestions if there are any, but it's smoke free, and a beautiful view of the ballpark, with the Rangers still out of town I believe. Let me know what works best for everybody. |

Damn! Well I am headed to bed but it looks like M&G for tomorrow night (tonight) is getting iffier by the minute. I am still getting up early to make the drive to DFW for the ATP tour in the AM. I'll PM my cell phone to a few just in case I get the chance to say "Hi" to a few. Hopefully a few can make it out. I am excited for bob-o to meet the rib. Gotta see Frogflyer too! and the honor of meeting the great moderator of JC put me over the edge! What will my friends say if I do not come back without an autograph? ![]() Ahhh wannabes...what would you do without us? SC...I gotta meet the great freight dog! |

Okay. Here's the deal. Girl wonder and I are going to head over to that Other City and we'll stop by the Friday's at the Ballpark for a while. We decided to get a hotel room in Ft. Worth for the evening, and come back to Big D in the morning. I told Erika she was finally going to be able to put some faces to these names I keep talking about. Hope to see you guys tonight. |

I'll see y'all there at 6 then, since I haven't heard of any problems with this time. I'll be making phone calls a little later to make sure and know approximately how many will be there. Any questions, problems, or need a ride, let me know via PM or this thread until around 5 PM. |

Me from Simuflite - looks like a late evening here with tons to do for tomorrow. I'm guessing I won't make it down at this point. Sorry all. I guess mid-term during recurrent isn't the best time for a M&G for me.

| Old Skool | Sorry to hear that Steve. We'll have to meet up one more time before I leave, if possible. I'm going to try to move my flight to Monday night now, since the checkride is done by 2 PM!

Is anyone in for a Sunday afternoon sort of thing? I just got back home to Dallas and will be heading to Fort Worth tomorrow. GKY and area would be fine. Aye, bobbo and joe, I just got back at 1am here. I figured I'd be nice and not call y'all back

Just got back from the birthday thing with Erika's friend.... That was fun last night - Stone Cold, Bob, thanks very much for the stories and camaraderie. We both had a good time. Headed out to Ft. Worth afterward, checked in at the Courtyard and then walked on down to the Flying Saucer. I considered making a sign that said, "Looking for Keebler" but decided that would be cornball. Band was fairly decent and the Stella flowed...crashed about 2 this morning and drove back to Big D. Am thinking HARD about going to Fry's today and upgrading my PC rig today. Very, very hard. X-plane likes lots of processor and RAM, you know? I figure since I can't fly the real thing right now, I might as well learn some holds and approaches and stuff.... |

That would have been hillarious if you had made that sign. I was downtown for a little while, but made it an early night. Sorry I missed the PM KillBilly. I was tied up all Saturday doing the sightseeing thing with my sister and I had that birthday dinner which ran til' 9. Man I think I left home at 7AM and didn't get back til' about midnight. I was beat. Next time. Oh and for anyone who cares, I found this slot car race track in Ft. Worth. Man it was wicked awesome. You could rent a car for 4 bucks for 15mins and tear up the track. In the back these guys were drag racing and those little cars would go 0-60 in 1.4 seconds. If anyone wants to check it out let me know. |

I'll work on my procrastination problem tomorrow... "Procrastinators... Leaders of Tomorrow!!" ![]() In the meantime... here's two pics from the DFW Mini M&G for ya! 1. Left to right: LoadmasterC141 and "The Rib", Captain Bob, Stone Cold, killbilly's GF and of course... killbilly himself. 2. Probably my favorite pic... effectionately titled: "Smoke Break". You see... I was the only one who didn't smoke out of the group... so this was my view about every 25 minutes or so...

I am just never going to live down the "Rib" thing I know it. For those of you that were not there, it was quite comical. Joe(Stonecold) was the first to arrive with us. I introduced him to Sandra, and he says, "So...you're the rib huh?". Doh Thanks for the pix Bob. Thats' not redeye on me either..I am just pure evil baby! |
