Default Ireland for St. Patty's Day

TheShortOne and I are heading to Ireland for St. Patty's day (3/17) which lucky for us - is a SATURDAY...Either Dublin or Shannon depending on which loads are better...hopefully Dublin since they have the big parades/parties and so forth!

Anyone else want to tag along? we're leaving on Thursday, coming back that Sunday...

There's nothing like Ireland Guinness...very different from what we drink here in the States.

I've been there before.. loads are open because a lot of americans tend to want to stay home and celebrate..not go abroad.. believe it or not, 2 years ago, we didn't have a single problem trying to get over there the day before. but once we got there, we found out we missed the parade which is why we're going one day earlier.

btw...just found out the cure for the hangover is an irish coffee.

Cool, if I didn't have a j-o-b I'd tag along. You and Em are my "hags." Oooooh, maybe I'll get a job with Mesa, then I'll fly for free!

Yup, I'll probably have to sit that one out because of training or study time.

Considering I'm going to the ER, it's not like my ONLY chance to go to Ireland!

I spent a few hours in shannon intl last year on st pattys day. On our way to Iraq we had a brief layover in shannon and we all had a few pints before getting back on the plane at the local bar across from the duty free shop

it was short but pretty cool to be in Ireland on that day

Look for the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Marching Band in the Dublin Parade. My daughter will be carrying the banner in the front -- she'll be the one in the center.

I'd certainly like to go, but I don't have a March schedule yet, so I don't know. Offline jumpseating over the Atlantic would be an adventure.

Maybe you could take some pictures for me.

Maybe I'll drop a note in Clo's file tomorrow at work. Last I saw her, she said she was always interested in traveling home!

Even speaks Gaelic!
