TheShortOne and I are heading to Ireland for St. Patty's day (3/17) which lucky for us - is a SATURDAY...Either Dublin or Shannon depending on which loads are better...hopefully Dublin since they have the big parades/parties and so forth! Anyone else want to tag along? we're leaving on Thursday, coming back that Sunday... There's nothing like Ireland Guinness...very different from what we drink here in the States. |

How are loads possibly going to be open?

I've been there before.. loads are open because a lot of americans tend to want to stay home and celebrate..not go abroad.. believe it or not, 2 years ago, we didn't have a single problem trying to get over there the day before. but once we got there, we found out we missed the parade which is why we're going one day earlier. btw...just found out the cure for the hangover is an irish coffee. |

yup.. most likely, he'll be studying and he's ok with me jaunting off without him. he might be able to go, depends on how much he gets accomplished before hand.. .but if we have a good group of people going, then I'll feel better about me going without him kwim?! i don't think i could stay home for 3 months while he studies and goes for training, i'd go stir crazy fer sure! |

| Agent Smith | Yup, I'll probably have to sit that one out because of training or study time. Considering I'm going to the ER, it's not like my ONLY chance to go to Ireland!

I spent a few hours in shannon intl last year on st pattys day. On our way to Iraq we had a brief layover in shannon and we all had a few pints before getting back on the plane at the local bar across from the duty free shop it was short but pretty cool to be in Ireland on that day
