Default Long Beach M&G Feb 10-11 (Condensed)

Heya guys,

So here's what we're looking for with the Friday schedule:

Noon to 5:00 p.m.: Anybody want to do lunch somewhere? You know, just a real simple informal hang out and shoot the bull kinda gig.

5:00 p.m. to whenever: Dinner at the Mccormick & Schmicks

Whenever to whenever: Hang out there? Go back to Mario's? Bars on the pier? I don't really care too much myself!

I know it's a rough plan, but like the day before the offical meet and greet in Vegas I'd like to try to keep it as unstructured as possible so we have some flexibility.

What I DO from people is two things:

-Your phone number/contact information so I can put together a sheet for everybody. Please provide a number that you don't mind other JCers having. Please also provide me an e-mail address so I can send this list out to everybody that's coming.

-Who is coming to dinner on Saturday the 10th so I can make reservations.

PLEASE GET ME THIS INFORMATION ASAP SO I CAN PUT THIS TOGETHER! ALSO BE SURE TO SEND YOUR INFORMATION TO MIKE SO HE KNOWS HOW MANY PEOPLE TO PLAN ON FOR THE SIMULATOR STUFF!!!

Thanks everybody, this should be sweet!

So reading through this thread, there seems to be a little confusion as to what a basic timeline looks like so i created this:

http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4802/jcgb2.jpg

Thats what Sat and Sun look like from what I read. Feel free to post corections, and ill update the image. I can add to Friday too if people are planning on doing something then too.

Also penguin, your entirely awesome for setting up time in simulators and such.

Mike - count me in for 3 people including me!
Yep, on the 2nd floor, classroom #210 is quite large, we can use this room to set up the food, give me a call later so that we can arrange it, let me know what you are bringing, so that we can figure out what else we need. I will take care of the drinks, plates, ice, cup, etc.

Will get some of the other local folks to bring snacks & stuff.

#of people, would imagine that 15-20 would be the max, we will have a number soon.... (Who are you bringing, Dad & Girlfriend?)

Mike

Damn Pengy! You got me down pat in relation to who'm i'm bringing. I'm not a for sure on my dad though, he might have to stay at the restaurant so i might have to be the caterer.

I was thinking of bringing 2 full trays of baked ziti, 2 trays of spaghetti, tray of salad, and maybe a tray of lasagna? I can probably do some buffalo wings too!

Mike is there a table in that room? I'll need to put the sternup and it's seteup somewhere so food will stay hot.

I'll give a ring a little bit later.

Shervin

We have a large room with tables for the food
The Pasta & salad sounds great! Leave the Buffalo wings at home.
Aero_Engineer offered to bring Chicken, so, that will work, I have some extra tray warmers & the sterno racks.

I will take care of the cups, forks, spoons, ice, plates, napkins, drinks, .

Other California people, brings snacks & stuff (Chips, pretzels, cake, etc)

Damn, this is going to work out great, people are going to leave here witha full belly!!!

The list is going out today of the folks that I have confirmed. If you want your information included on the contact list and you have not already done so, please PM me your first and last name, cell phone number and e-mail address. I'm going to e-mail the list out to the folks that are coming this afternoon.

Also I need e-mail addresses for EineBeBoP and Mtts422.

If you are not confirmed but want to be on the contact list just let me know and I'll throw your info on there. If I already have your number in my phone and you want on just sent me a text or something (I.E. Doug, Kristie, Max, etc.) and I'll take care of it.

Heya everybody,

Ok the sims are now closed up, we've got about 20 confirmed people in the sims and I think we've got 25 for dinner. So with that, hopefully they resturant will take a reservation for a group that big, we'll find out soon.

Ok here's my final head count:

17 for sims, 27 for dinner. That's all we've got room for at this point. I'll be calling the resturant this weekend to get the reservations, so if anything goes wrong I'll let ya'll know.

So I just called the Yard House and it turns out they don't take reservations. Then Segway says to me, "Hey, why don't we move it to McCormick & Schmick's? We get a discount there too!"

Anybody got any problems with that?

I moved most of the important posts into this one as the socal thread was getting a little too long to keep track of anymore. with that, i'm going to close the socal thread so the rest of the conversation can occur in here and only here.

There is a floor with a roof that I can use to sleep from Sat to Sun right? Otherwise, its like a 2 hour drive back and forth each day.

There's room on my floor, but I'm up in Burbank so it's almost as bad as the drive up to your place.

So, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for activities before and after M&G's? There's A LOT to do in SoCal... I was thinking something like SpeedZone or something along those lines... .maybe gameworks....

If anyone gets in Friday night and is interested I'm playing with my cover band at a dive bar in Hermosa Beach called the Hermosa Saloon. Cheap drinks, rock music and the occasional floozie.
