Ok, these guys won't take a reservation unless it's before 5:00 p.m. or after 9:00 p.m. Let me see what I can work out on this one...

After 5:00pm? So, there is a chance of not getting tables together? Will they hold the tables with a deposit?

Why don't we just take over a hole-in-the-wall mexican place?

Or mount a D-day assault on a family-run chinese place.

I can't believe these restaurants don't take reservations. damn hippies.

On second thought, I'm likely to be sleeping in the same room as the segster... I'm not sure I want there to be mexican food passing through his massive system!

We needa get something figured out though!

Don't know if any locals are familiar with it but what about restaurants in the Belmont Shores area? I don't know it that well other than there's that whole strip of shops/restaurants there.

That area has great food from Greek (Georges) to Indian to Asian/Sushie to BBQ...the only problem with the area is parking; but spend a few good mins and you're bound to find a decent place.

I was there before, don't remember much about the food, all I remember is that it was cold outside despite the patio heaters and parking was still limited although they did have a parking lot (but, it was still better then other places and you can always pay-park in the olympic pool area). Cool place though

John

I will provide you with different options on the phone later, but, here are a couple that I am exploring:

Chilli's - They have an outdoor enclosed area that can handle 30 people.

Chinese Restaurant - They have private rooms & an upstairs that can handle large groups.

Korean BBQ - will check if they can handle a large group, kind of a fun place, they serve you raw spiced meat, & there is a place to cook it right in front of you.

Last option, the place that I live at, has a party room, I can reserve it, & get food delivered...

Thanks John for keeping this thing going!

What's the weather like during the day and night? Everytime I have been to LA it is hot during the day and freezing cold at night, with the air coming off the ocean.

Is it sweater, jacket weather. Or will a long sleeve shirt from the GAP be okay?

are we bound to find adequate seating for 27 people though... that is the question!

if need be, we could make the reservation for 4:30 or 4:45.. that could be acceptable since we have essentially nothing going on saturday afternoon...nothing after 9pm, that's just TOO late to have a full meal.

i think we should try and stay clear of the restaurants that favor alchohol because of the whole minor issue. and yea, i'm not too keen on going into an area that has "weird stuff" going on...no thanks.

oh, if it's chinese...just two request.. good chinese and no buffets! haha

I'd make a reservation for 4:45 and chill the night away at M+S.

That sound great.

I mean come on guys, even Bangor has a Chilli's.

Just curious how many U-21's do we have going to dinner?

Segs said that he told them 5:00 p.m., so I'll call and make the reservation for such and we'll just take our sweet freaking time there.

No way boss, we ain't playin' that game. This is an equal oppertunity website and we're going to have minors, people that are over 21, airline pilots, freight pilots, wanna-be's (AKA freight pilots), students pilots, white guys, black guys, straight guys, gay guys, black gay guy and some chicks in attendance. No way we're going to start cutting folks outta this one just to have a few beers!
