| OK, how the heck does one upload pix on here? The photos I took at the meet 'n greet are apparently too large. You can either view them at http://thegordonmob.blogspot.com, or one of you IT whizzes can msg me with the details on how to add them here. It was nice meeting everyone! Thanks for organizing, Christine! Yes, another gathering in February or March would be great! |

| Junior Member | Yes, it was fun -- I'm glad we did it. If we get together again in February, let's hope it's not as cold. (did I just say that?!) I can't wait until we ride bikes to the VOR! (BTW -- I never answered your question. My answer was at the Aitkin NDB.) -C. |

| Yes, Kristie, I'm glad I made the time. Only regret that we had to eat and run ... the eldest stepson was at a scout meeting and was getting dropped off at home alone (he's only 10). ![]() |

| Dazzler, Might this be the the lonely desert VOR you spoke of? It's actually just into Nevada going west on 15. It's the only one I could find that matched you description. Long live the VOR!

| Old Skool | Guys I found our old Flight ops newsletter with the tower contact name, his title, and phone number. I will try giving him a call this week. I wont be in MSP next month because of a TDY, so how about we plan something for March? What works best, weekends/weekdays/afternoons/mornings? I know its probably best when they say so, be if they give me some options, I want to be able to tell them when. so let me know.

| Sorry about that previous post...all messed up. The mystery VOR in question is none other than the Mormon Mesa VOR - MMM. She's even got a Hiwas! Did you guys know on Google Earth you can overlay all the sectionals? It's easy to find stuff like this using it. Look at "Some useful map overlays" on this page: http://www.fboweb.com/antest/ge/intro.aspx?old=1 James

| Old Skool | I was wondering if anyone knows somebody at NATCO? It would be pretty cool if we could do the MSP tower tour and then take a tour of Natco later that day.
