Places to eat in the Long Beach area

Been to DaVinci (in the same building as our office) great food, awesome venue with the all glass back wall overlooking LGB, but reeeealy pricey.

I vote for the place with the best tap beer selection.

Nope! I work for iFly, our office is actually on the second floor. Although we do have a kiosk at Mercury.

I just moved here so not real familiar with the area, is Alteon on field at LGB?

My suggestion for th meet is to have the little alcoholic endeavors planned after whatever the festivities are for the day.

That, or be very understanding about having a fake I.D.

sorry, but Doug and I are not gonna support that. You can do that on your own time, not at a big JC M&G...

we made a big mistake at least years NJC...and it's not going to happen again on our watch.

remember that conversation about "do you REALLY wanna be a pilot?" yea....

Don't worry Kristie, Shervin was joking, as legal drinkers, we would all be held liable, one place for dinner, but if there is any hard drinking, legal drinkers will be there. Don't want you & Doug to get in trouble....

I'm not so concerned with us getting into trouble, i'd be more concerned with him/them getting into trouble!

besides, your right.. we'd all be held liable if he/they got caught and i don't think anyone here needs that mess! haha

FF - did you say the "T" word? j/k

I didnt like Rock Bottom when i was there a few years ago for the AOPA convention. My vote is Yard House. Food is ok, price is reasonable, and a great atmostphere........and for the drinkers 250 beers on tap

250 !?

I'll second that vote!

What are the activities looking like during the day? I know we will be having an open house at LGB that weekend, have to clear it with the boss man but if anyone wanted to stop by and check out the Columbia 350 I'd be happy to show them around the a/c.

Haha

Don't even worry about that. I read the disclaimer for meet and greets. Once present, i have no recolection of who "Doug Taylor" is.

I could however totally picture Shephard starting off as "Arent you a pilot?"

Hahahaha

Perfectly fine with me, have been following the thread kinda half assedly and thought people were trying to make more of an event out of it.

Should be a good time either way.

Do we have a firm date yet? Between my schedule and my wife's, it is hard to make time for everything else around a two day window!!!

It's going to be Saturday the 10th, we'll figure out where we're eating later but make it a firm Saturday the 10th for ya'lls schedules.

That'll work. I have to play Mr. Mom while my wife gets her spa thingy on on the 11th.
