. . .and you've still NOT PM'd me to come and visit NASA. Hmmm, I need to check my badge to determine if I'm a paid employee for NASA. They may wish to edit my posts.

You can still come visit.

Sorry. . .brain dead moment on my part. NASA is over by Ellington (EFD) southeast Houston, Clear Lake area. Kemah, Pasadena toward Galveston. I believe you're up at Intercontinental cross Beltway 8. Easy to find. Like Doug or anyone else, I can give the nickel tour if you're interested.

A cliche' and for the life of me, I don't know where it originated. It means it's free What it basically means is the standard tour is about $30 a piece give or take and you don't have the "touchy feely up close and personal" experience. I can provide a better one for zippo!

You're right up the street as well. Pick a time that's convenient for you and we can make plans.

yea.. put me on that too.. i went on an "inside NASA" at the cape way back in the day... always wanted to see Houston's operations too!

I could easily set up a meet & greet and see how many folks we could get down there (when the weather is good)?

Hey, we're in Houston. How "bad" can the weather be? I grew up in Avondale for a few years in addtion to going to Arizona State, so I know the weather here approximates the weather in Arizona, so it's all good.

Its' a 4 hour drive from Temple, but I would do it to get a personalized tour of Johnson. I got one at Kennedy and it was phenomenal.

Plus I could meet a bunch of JC'ers and not feel quite as bad about missing JC Vegas.

<removed non-pertinent material from original post - SteveC>

On a side note... Mods... how about cutting MFT's NASA offer out of here and pasting it in the Meet & Greet section?

Bob

(Keep in mind, Don, that they can't see all the posts that got deleted after I copied the whole thread over here so it probably doesn't look as *impressive* as what you are seeing.....and I could have done it a different way that would have been much less clumsy and heavy handed.....still learning.)

Keep the posts coming. I see great possibilities in making the visit an official one.

Understand, anyone. . .and I do mean anyone who is in the area can PM me and I can give them the grand tour. More advance notice, I can provide other activities as well.
