Default Meet and Greet Phoenix

I think it is time to get another Phoenix meet and greet together! Last time, more people showed up then just me and Pilot602! We can meet at my house, Doug's crib, a bar, wherever! I'm not inviting the non jetcareers flight instructors over to my house again though. They kept breaking the beach balls and acted like a bunch of idiots!

Default How bout western regional gathering?

I vote for BW3 up in Desert Ridge!! I'm always open for some NTN, beer & hot wings!

besides, i do agree that it's bout time for a phx gathering considering we have new peeps in the area and all!

In fact, why don't we make it a western regional gathering? we have one guestroom and a sofa sleeper for those who would need a crash pad! I think that might be kinda fun.

peeps could kinda fly-in to deer valley, scottsdale or williams and park their transportation! esp with the heat coming on, now's just a good time to do this!

And what do you think of our fare city? Have you had the opportunity to see the sights Capt?

Not really. We used to stay in Awatukee. The hotel wasn't that great and there wasn't much choice is places to eat. It was the hotel, McD's, or the burrito place. Now we stay in a much nicer hotel in Old Town Scottsdale. I've walked around quite a bit. Many good places to eat. Big mall with movie theater. Nice library with free internet. I found a rec center at Indian School park that has a nice gym for bball. Problem is, I work from 4pm to midnight so by the time you get back to the hotel and change it's 1230am. I'll have to do a bit more research but I haven't found a quiet bar that's open late. Mickey's Hangover is close but looks far from quiet. Anyone been to the Blue Moose? It seems like a pretty quiet area except for Friday nights. I know the bars stay open a bit later on Fridays.

I could stay late on a Sat or come early on a Sun. Otherwise, I'm there two weeks in March.

We're up for anytime up until the 24th. Found out yesterday that the 24th will be our new baby's birthday!

I'm up for the 12th? That's a Sunday night. Or is having to work the next day a bad thing?

We're out if it's the 12th. I gotta work a 20:00. If it's the 10th or 11th we can do that.

I heard something along the grapevine of you not being able to make sunday now Don???

true/not true??

Anyways, we found a new place!! Devil's Martini on the NE corner of Shea/Scottsdale... starts early, drinks are ok priced.. a bit dressier but I saw people on the dancefloor at 9pm!! no joke!

it's more of a bar/dance scene.. we did see a few desserts floating around and martini's galore.. good outdoor area as well which is where i figured we'd hang if we were to hold it there (because inside is too loud). i'd call it a business casual joint! whatcha think??? altho i'd have to check and see if they're open on a sunday....

How about coming down south for a change? I really want to go to one of the GREETS but cant seem to make it out to the west coast. Tennessee isn't too far, is it?

Bring up a Tennessee M&G in a new thread and see who all responds! The reason we'd be doing a phx M&G is because we can't get out of town for a while... and there are a few new folks in the area as well.

I know Lloyd would like to do a camping retreat or something over in TN! bring it up!
