PHX - Saturday get together?

I know it's late notice.. It always seems to end up that way! haha

But, any of the PHX pholks want to do something on Saturday day/night? Doug's back tonight and I've heard through the rumor mill that there's a Japanese festival going on in downtown phoenix during the day (might be some GOOD sushi and who knows what else). Also, we could work on getting max his first In-N-Out "crack" burger, get the guys some drinks and let the girls jibbajabba for a while.

We also have a new aviation couple we'd like to introduce as they are *super swell* peeps (we've met them), we keep trying to get him (the pilot) online here, but he hasn't quite signed up yet (something about working too much for crap wages... haha).

So, any ideas.. can do/can't do...what time to meet and/or where?

ok.. here's the scoopage as of now.. Max & Andrew can't get together I guess till 7pm-ish, John & his woman can't get together till after 9pm....so it seems like we'd be going somewhere with a nighttime flair....

I'd like to pick a meeting place that is half way in the center of us all if we can.. someplace that has drinks available & a place to sit and converse, maybe enjoy some music. Scottsdale might be the best place between us all, I really dunno.

There's BW3 up in north scottsdale (Scottsdale & 101)near the Cine Capri that is more of a sports bar with a really good selection of draft beers and NTN...totally casual!

There's also Desert Ridge on North 101/Tatum with Starbucks, Jillians (anyone for a little DDR competition?), Fat Tuesdays, Scorch Bar, Rock Bottom & others - there's definately more to offer at Desert Ridge with it being an outdoor marketplace...business casual dress probably if you want to get into scorch bar as they don't allow for jeans/casual (one of those snooty bar/clubs).

There's Sugar Daddys on Hayden(?) in south scottsdale...young peoples, good drinks, hard to find parking but it's a good all out hang out spot. I think it costs to get in after 9pm...you can probably get away with semi-casual...

Then there's Martini Ranch with is more upscale in downtown Scottsdale, has a good band.. good drinks.. outside area to talk etc...costs to get in and opens i think around 10ish..definately dressier to get in since it is a snottsdale club...

Also Dos Gringos has 2 locations - downtown scottsdale and down near ASU...I think both are hopping on a saturday night, but i guarantee the scottsdale location will be hopping.. usually no cover and no particular dress code.

Those are the 5 places that i'll suggest... anyone else have suggestions around the valley?

I think Max is more central/north phx... John is more Mesa...Amanda & Nick are more mid-scottsdale...Doug and I are more north scottsdale and FSIFlyer, dude, I don't know where your located - where are you located?

Btw - MikeD, are you in town this weekend?

alrighty... BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings) is it then... It's located in the Scottsdale 101 Marketplace where the Harkins Cine Capri is off of Scottsdale Road and 101.

If you have an NTN name/password, bring it along and we'll all play a game of NTN

Saturday nights are usually good NTN nights and if that's not enuff to look at, there's TV's all over with the various sports going on. I think they stay open till typical bar closing time altho we've never tried it.

Let's plan on a 7:30 showing cuz a couple of movies will be starting around then which will help empty the place out for us to put some tables together.

John - do you and Kate still think you'd be able to make it after 9 or is that to far for you guys?

So far, I have possibly 10 showing.. we'll definately need to get some tables rearranged ahead of time. I'll see what i can do on that end.

Everyone good with this plan?
