| Big Chief's Woman | I had no idea Sun-n-Fun was in APRIL (12-18) this year! if we're going to do an another Jetcareers gathering (informal), it should be there - for all the east coasters... Of course, flying standby into florida probably won't happen for doug and myself so we'll have to find another way! but I would like to plan on going and doug too if we can work out his schedule... Bushmaster mentioned that he has 3 condo's in the Tampa area.. and if he's open to it, I'd like to see if we can use them to help us all save some funds! of course, we need to pay something for room & board - he can let us know later on depending on how many want to join in the fun... here's the website and you can buy tickets online now, so that's schweet!Sun-N-Fun web page I have to find out whether it's too late to get a booth or how we can go about spreading the JC word like we did last year! so whose all in this year? |

| Old Skool | I'd love to be there, but with Gavin scheduled to appear on April 1st, odds aren't too good. I don't think going to Sun N Fun with a two week old infant would be at the top of my list, not to mention Nessa would KILL me. I might be able to make it for Vegas later in the year, though. |

| Oh right something close! I'm in for that if we can pull it off. Kristie, if non revving on Delta sucks, try Southwest. They do offer nonstop from PHX to MCO. Theywere my back up plan for getting back from Casa Taylor on New Years. |

| Considering Lakeland is closer than Orlando for me, I might be there. I'll know for sure in a few days. |

| Old Skool | Do you mean in a straight line or highway wise? It's only like 45 mins from ORL driving, and it's further WEST than Orlando. I'm fo sho not gonna be there this year, though. |

| I may come by. I'm trying to get the whole week off to visit my girlfriend (or whatever she is now) on her birthday, April 15th. She's in Orlando working at Disney. Not more than an hour and a half drive. That would fit in great... I could come by for a day or two maybe. We'll see how things work. I might not make a lot of $$ in April with the time off but oh well the vacation will definitely be worth it! |

| Senior Member | Being relatively new to Central Florida....what is Sun-N-Fun. An airshow or something? |

| Old Skool | [ QUOTE ] .what is Sun-N-Fun. An airshow or something? [/ QUOTE ] More like a weeklong aviation trade show with an airshow every day. They HIGHLY encourage people to fly their own aircraft in. It's as busy as I've ever seen any airport, but it's worth the experience. Matt, she took the slave job with the college program? You have my condolences. But, heh. I'll be back in MCO in a couple of weeks. If you wind up hanging out down there I know of a few distraction places. BTW, it's relatively easy to sneak into Vista Way overnight if you hide in someone's trunk when they drive in. Security never checks the cars. One (well, more than one) of my exs lived in Vista Way..... |

| Yeah, she's there. She's taking time to "find herself." So things have been pretty weird lately. I went down for a night to just hang out after she finished all her tests for Animal Kingdom. Going into Vista Way felt like entering Langley. ![]() |

| Old Skool | What's she doing at AK? Attractions there are pretty sweet, and merch is laid back. If I went back to work at one of the parks, it would be either there or Epcot. |

| Driving one of the busses. Where she has to go through that tour guide thing. That and working the lines, getting everyone into the proper line to get on the tram or something. She was trying to explain it but I wasn't grasping the whole thing, since I've never been to AK. |

| Never been to epcot but I've heard it's the worst out of all the Disney parks. I liked MGM the best. |

| Big Chief's Woman | worst as far as what? rides? yep, they don't have many rides.. it's not really a theme park for kids.. more for adults! heck, you can try beers around the world there! ![]() |

[/ QUOTE ] Sounds like Kilimanjaro Safaris, so that would put her in Attractions, my old dept. If you can get it (and for CP it's TOUGH) Attractions is the best. Most college kids get stuck in custodial or food service. I wanted to transfer to Kilimanjaro, but they didn't have to OT that Tomorrowland had. One of my best friends worked there for a while, though. And as far as Epcot goes, it's probably my fav, too. If you want rides, go to Six Flags. I actually ate at Morocco my last day in Orlando, and it was surprisingly good. Although all of my friends have either quit Disney or gone to other theme parks, so I have to pony up for an FL resident annual pass now..... |

| If I get in UCF I'll be getting one of those passes too. |

| Old Skool | Just don't let the fun of Orlando distract you from studying. Happens to a lot of people at UCF. Then they wind up dropping out and saying "Watch your step, please" for the rest of their lives...... |

| Old Skool | It all depends, but if we're in FL I'll make it there for at least one day, and probably drag one or two others along for the fun. TX |

| Junior Member | I will definately be there... what day(s) are you planning on attending? As for EPCOT... I used to work for the Rat Trap and we would frequently go "Drinking around the World" Talk about a good time! Especially during the Food and Wine Festival! On the topic... I just found that family is coming to visit... is anyone here a Disney employee wanting to help a fellow JCer with the use of a maingate? |
