Understood. You and Doug and FlyChicaga and fl270 are definitely on the hope you'll be there but understand if you can't make it list.

If you four make it, that's the eight max we can put in there.

Sweet! Bids are out Wednesdays for FOs as far as I know. Should know for certain then.

I'd say I have an 80% chance of making it.

Couple logistical ?s

Is everyone going to fly into Denver? If so, are we all going to try to make it out there on the same shuttle or rental van?

This leads to what time do we all want to get to Denver? Prices are going up the closer we get to the date and it'd be good to get the tickets sooner than later...

What about lift Tickets? What days do we plan on being on the slopes?

(Man I ask a bunch of ?s)

I get a somewhat good corporate rate on Hertz Vehicles. We can rent a van or something like that and make the treck to the Mountain. Also if I can make it, can I rent skies and such out there or would it be cheaper to do it in Jersey and bring em out?

Inexpensive ski rentals are always available there, Seg ... and far less hassle than dragging crap out on the plane.

I am in, pending bid results which are about two weeks away. I will be bidding around that weekend for sure.

Tony, please ensure that hot tub access is available as that is an absolute requirement for a good ski trip!

There will be plenty of equipment rental options on location.

Here is a coupon for 25% off.

I haven't bought my tickets for the flight out yet. But I'm planning on leaving on Friday morning, skiing for half a day, and then checking in to the place after the lifts close. Check in is 4 PM but I'll see what I can do. I'll also see what I can do about a late check out. Odds are that there won't be too many people coming in on Sunday afternoon, so I think we may be able to do something.

If the conditions in Colorado are anything like Utah this winter it's going to be amazing. 120" base with 24-55" more expected in the next 3 days! Best winter we've had in a long time.

We had a 50" base here in Michigan in December...then it rained.

I want to move out west.

I looking at about $370 for tickets now... up from $260 a couple weeks ago.

You think the prices will go down again closer to the date or should I book it now?

I'm debating the rental idea... I love my board and boots would love to take them, but I worry about them getting damaged and/or lost, so I might go for the rental.

Hmmm Snow? it's been like 80F here in CHS... Can't wait to see some white stuff!

I'm gonna book it today. We've got enough people so that the costs won't be prohibitive even if we get just the people who are firm.

As far as the costs go, budget around $50 a night for the place, and about $50 for lift tickets each day. Food and drink? We can cook at the condo and save money, maybe do one night where we go get something good to eat?

I'm all up for cooking most nights! Cheaper (aren't we all poor) plus often times a lot more fun. One night out would be awesome though!

So two nights stay, three days ski? Awesome!

Hey Tony,

you should probably ask for pictures of the hot tub and the game room etc... cuz they don't show all the room and the major amenities - there could be something missing and/or flawed....

oh and how far is the "nearest corner" for the shuttle?

since they have a BBQ, we're up for grilling & cooking out! doug's excellent at it if we can find some ribs around! hahaha

Ticket Window Prices:

Arapahoe - $49. $38 with this coupon.

Breck - $71

Copper Mountain - $64

Keystone - $71

Two point of interest:

First - Depending upon how much you plan on skiing you can buy one of these passes. 3 days of skiing at Breck, Keystone, & Arapahoe (option of using 1 day to ski Vail or Beaver Creek) for $177, $59/day.

Second - Some resorts give free or discounted tickets if you arrive on a certain airline. Might be worth looking into.

I've been doing most of my research on This Site.

That looks like the deal to get...

I'm up for some grilling... Anything to save a buck or two... But yeah we defidently need to get one night out...

These guys look good for shuttle service from DEN... $89 round trip... with a 10% discount if you mention the coupon...

You can also get discount lifts a most grocery stores in the area. I know one had 3 days at copper for $130.

So never buy lifts at the window unless you're rich or have a coupon. Rock on and dont hit a tree.

Bad news! I didn't get off the weekend of the 25th, so I can't go to the ski trip.

Good news... I got a long-call reserve line next month, so I'm on 12 hr callout as opposed to 2 hr. I'm six away from holding a line... which means there is a possibility my line may be converted from reserve to lineholder. Fingers crossed!

Well, if you wanna head on out to the Aloha State, I am so up for it. I need to get to Maui and Lanai. And we can rent a plane to fly to Molokai.

I've been to Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island. We can't go to Nihau, so that's out of the question.

I'd like to go to the other three islands. Maybe I could get a seaplane rating and fly to them all. How cool would that be?

COUNT ME IN ON THAT PUPPY!!!! I've been wanting to hit hawaii and we have friends who live over there too - can tell us the best places to go/stay!

what we really need to find is someone that has a timeshare around the country that they'd be willing to let us borrow!
