| Whoo hooo, I'm in. I read somewhere that this coming year we also get the AOPA Expo here in Tampa which is going to be awesome. Stan's fly-in, Sun-n-Fun, MacDill AirFest, and AOPA, this is going to be a good year to live in Tampa! Also Stan, if you guys need any help (parking planes, cooking food, or whatever) for the fly-in let me know, I'd love to help. [ QUOTE ] I'm guessing that it's in Tampa, but which airport? Knight Airport) on Davis Island, Tampa.Txpilot - when we get the info finalized, I'll update this thread and shoot you a PM. I'll be glad to do the same for anyone else who's interested. We're EXTREMELY excited about the fly-in!! The owner/president of the FBO was previously the GM of Piedmont-Hawthorn at LAL and has years of fly-in experience with Sun-N-Fun, so you can guarantee that this one will be worth the trip! Also, just a heads up - this is also a "dress rehearsal" of sorts for next years AOPA Expo, which will also be here at TPF. Hope as many make it as possible!! |

| [ QUOTE ] If you guys want, I know some people in the Alteon Training Center in Miami and could possibly arrange a tour for you guys. [/ QUOTE ] If you could do something like that in Miami I would go for sure. Let us know if it happens. |

| Old Skool | Might not be flying in, but I'm trying to make it to Orlando about this time. My buddy's band is playing the SWA cargo house party on 12/11, and my wife's b-day is the 10th. I thought it'd be a nice treat to fly down there so she can spend her b-day with some of her friends she hasn't seen in a while. |

In celebration of the Holiday Season and in appreciation of your patronage, please join us for our Holiday Open House and Fly-In on Saturday, December 11, 2004, from 09:00 to 17:00L. Everything from the Line and Flight Departments is 10% OFF! Everything... Pilot Supplies (including headsets!), Aircraft Rental, Flight Instruction, and Fuel (that's 10%, not just 10 cents!), etc. Maintenance will be running some specials too. ? We'll feed you! We'll be serving burgers and hot dogs from 11:00 until 15:00L. We'll also provide chips and soft drinks. ? Door Prizes! Sign up for door prizes when you arrive, and you'll be "in the hat," for special prizes from each department. We'll announce the winners on-site, but you needn't be present to win! </font> Look forward to meeting you!! The only thing that will keep me away will be the (pending) birth of our son. Otherwise - I'm there. Stan |

| I have 3 flights tomorrow, I'm trying to cancel one and convince another one (IFR XC) to come down there for a free lunch. If not I might go solo if I can remember how to fly by myself. |

| Old Skool | Yeah, Stan is gonna kill me for this..... I was in Orlando over the weekend, but I didn't have enough hours in the day to make it to Tampa. My friend's band was playing a SWA Cargo party that night, I had to catch up with about nine friends on Sat, and I had to fly back on Sun. I DID get to meet Stan's instructor from ATP in Lakeland at the SWA party, though. Turns out we have a mutual friend that works for SWA at MCO. Talked to him for about 45 minutes, and he just got hired at (surprise) XJT. |

| [ QUOTE ] well how did it go Stan? [/ QUOTE ] Very well! Had a fantastic turn out! The Piaggio Avante was SWEET! They had a Ferrari Spider on display with the plane as well, which attracted quite a crowd. ![]() Got to meet another quality JC'er = txpilot. Great guy! Brought a student from Georgia in some pretty crappy winds for the gig. Thanks for checking it out, TxPilot! Great to meet you! We are home to the AOPA Expo next year. I think it's in November, so if you're so inclined - you have 11 months to start your planning. ![]() |

Hope he was somewhat kind regarding my skills....or lack thereof. We had a limited time to do a lot and I had some ROUGH moments, but we got through them. He's a good instructor. No nonsense. .....and yes... Kell... you're a marked man. ![]() ![]() |

| Old Skool | I had a great time and my student learned what winds can do to you. We even went and did some touch and goes on our way home for some extreme xwind pratice. If that was any indication on what the Expo is going to be like, it should be an awesome time. You have some very friendly people and we had a great time while there. Glad to meet you also, R2F. You have a very good flying gig there. I'm, sure we'll see each other as we move up the ladder! |
