Default D.C. Area

Anyone in the area of Washington, DC?

I start TDY flying in Dulles in less than 2 weeks, and got the ultimate slacker schedule: standup overnights. Fly 30 hours, get paid for 80. Basically, I'm free every day that I work so the new museum is top priority of things to do.

Anyone?

I'm here, Bog.

If you need any tips about the DC area, like where to live, where the traffic sucks, etc, let me know.

Not sure how my schedule will play out . . . but by far the closest Meet & Greet for me!

Yeah, the Udvar-Hazey or however it's spelled, the extension of the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum located near IAD. From what I understand, the hotel which will be my home is located kinda close to it.

I won't be living in DC, just out there on TDY (temporary duty), so no need to find a place to live. Company pays for the hotel. Better have high-speed, too.

This new museum.

I need to get there. Maybe when I go to Vegas and have time to kill at IAD.

Other than the obligatory overly-priced gift shop the museum is really awesome to check out. Military, business, airline, cargo, aerobatic, space and whatever else I missed, displays to check out. Plenty to see . . . checked it out late last fall . . . but definately worth a second, third . . . look!
