Just long enough to walk into the terminal notice there wasn't anything to eat, and walk out! Someone's got a large training operation there, who's that? |

I was stuck in PNS the other day waiting on the weather and TFRs and was talking to a retired Delta MD11 captain (don't know his name) who now flies a Barron. Anyhow, he was talking about how in the sim session that he did after the Swissair MD11 crash in Halifax he was given the same scenario and was able to land it. The sim instructor was suprised because so far nobody had been able to get it on the runway. He asked how it did it and the guy said he just side slipped it. I didn't know you could sideslip such a big plane, but I guess you can. Anyhoo.... the the pics look good. Ethan |

YSSY, YMML etc Y is the international code for Australia S or M is for the controling center, there are only two in Australia, either Sydney or Melbourne. Last two letters are for the airport, SY = Sydney, ML = Melbourne, MB = Moorabbin etc etc And yes the international pax code for Melbourne is MEL and SYD for Sydney, that's what you'd see on your baggage. |
