Default Socal meeting

OK it is on starting Aug 7 through the weekend... We will have the Alteon thing on Aug 7 because it has to be on a weekday; exact details to come but it will include a tour of the Boeing production facility in LGB. It will be a morning tour, we will head out for lunch around noon; then come back to Alteon for the afternoon. The tour will be free.

Also planned is a bbq on the beach and possibly a bowling night. Any more ideas post here!

For those attending, to make everything run smoothly please email me your first and last name and your cell phone number. The list of names is also required for the tour so please send me your info ASAP. Also required is a passport / birth certificate.

email: piloted01@earthlink.com

As far as places to stay for those who don't live nearby, the best location will be somewhere between Orange County and Long Beach. That is a pretty general area... but if you can find something within 10 miles of the coast you will be in a great spot for what we have planned.

I will provide directions to all events.

Many have expressed interest in going to this, I will post the screen names of those going once I get your email.

OK here is the list so far:

Kristie
Doug Taylor
hammer
Iain
CaptainMatt
mpenguin1
CaptainChris87

If you're not on this list you're not yet signed up for the tour... mpenguin1 needs this info to get us in there. Anyone is welcome to come; the Alteon / Boeing thing is free of charge; if you want to fly a full motion sim I believe it is 100/half hour... that is completely optional of course.

Hey Ed, it all depends on my schedule. I have to take some time off for a wedding at the end of this month, so I don't know if I'll get the weekend of the 6th off. Sure am gonna be pissed though if I can't hang out with everyone. We shall see. Just wanted to let you know my status. Thanks.

The cutoff deadline to let me know if you'll go to the tour is July 30.

You can still let me know if you'll be coming to anything else we'll do after that date.

Passport
or
US Birth Certifcate (with the raised seal) along with an ID card such as a drivers license.

Please make sure that everybody has submitted their names to SkyGuy Ed, to date, I have
only submitted 9 names to Boeing Security.

Iain, I read that you will not be able to make it, I will working this Saturday, if you wish to stop bu for a quick tour, or, if you let me know, I can give you a tour in the Evening hours, I live close to the office.

If you are not on the list and already emailed me about going, send me a pm! If you are not on the list and have NOT emailed me yet and you want to come... let me know by the end of the day!

I have to work that friday morning; I will try to be there by lunch to meet up with everyone. In any case I will try and plan a bbq around the beach either that friday afternoon or sat afternoon. It will be a laid back deal, bring your own food unless you are not a local...
