"Retired" from the Flight Center at Dupage County Airport after 7.5 years before the mast. DPA is a Corporate/G.A. class D airport 30 miles west of Chicago. We were ranked 3rd in the state for IFR ops. after O'Hare and Midway. Definitely not missing it this winter!

Pumped gas for Pan Am in KPSM (Portsmouth, NH) Then pumped gas for Don King in KBCT (Rat Mouth, FL) Now pumping gas for me at KEYQ (Houston, TX) while in flight school. Yeah...I get around.

| I flew for PACCAIR for 4 years. We had AFT snap our nose gear and overfill us for my first year, but for my last three years we were in Randy's not heated very well main hanger. I flew the caravan mostly.

The three flight schools on the field are Illinois Aviation Academy, Travel Express Aviation, and American Flyers. The guy who owns IAA is a friend of mine, but I couldn't really say which school's the better school to work for. I just know that when it comes to who takes on the most fuel, we go out and fuel IAA the most, AF 2nd, and TEA 3rd. That should give you an idea of how busy the instructors are. I also know that IAA hires pilots for traffic reporting, and TEA is spinning up an Air Taxi service using SR-23s. So if you don't get your CFI checkride done, there are other opportunities. Cheers!
