Default Idea for a new forum

What do you guys think about creating a forum for layovers? It could be a sort of city guide to various locations. People could post restaurant recommendations, fun things to do and so on.

Think that I've seen something like that on another forum.

But it might be a good idea here as well!

Well, maybe they're just copying off of my idea! j/k Not long ago I mentioned a layover forum in a post when I was mentioning the Burlingame shuttle at SFO, etc. and then suddenly they had one! No one here paid attention to my suggestion Coincidence? I think not!

But seriously, I think it's a great idea!

Hey! I have a lot of web design experience and I was wondering if you would like to start a joint venture. I will buy the website and start the forum and you and I will post. We will both be admins. What do you think?

The problem with the layover forum is that Crew Hotels are a bit of a security secret for various reasons. In some cases it would be hard to give area information out with out giving away the location of the hotel.

What security secret? Any Joe Terrorist could sit around airport hotels and figure out whatever he/she wants to know anyway. Besides, I've seen you airline guys mention your hotels on here and other forums. I think this idea is aimed more at restaurants, bars, fun activities, etc...

http://www.yelp.com is a good place to get started.

Doesn't cover every city, but you can write whatever you want. I've already done a couple. A good friend of mine runs the Austin community.
