Default CFI abroad, with Non-Rev privileges?

Hey. Trying to get ideas on how to teach more while maintaining my current PT job as a ramper up here in Detroit. There aren't many opportunities for a CFI up here being what the economy is.

I got non-rev privileged on Delta, and only work Friday and Saturdays up here. Anybody ever CFI abroad while holding a job with non-rev priviledges? If so, what works or how do I sell my skills as a CFI while I think this through.

Any of you know of any places or anybody that could use a CFI from Sunday to Wednesday/Thursday?

Just FYI, but Delta would consider using non rev benefits to fly to/from a CFI job as a violation of the benefit. It can't be used in any way to further a business or to travel for business.

Thats a bummer.

EXAMPLES OF PASS MISUSE

  • Transferring, substituting or selling of pass or reduced rate tickets or obtaining or assisting in obtaining passes for reduced rate tickets for an ineligible person.
  • Buying, selling or bartering buddy pass authorizations is unacceptable.
  • Attempting to obtain further discounts from an airline that we have an agreement with
  • Use of passes or reduced rate tickets for commuting purposes by anyone other than the employee.
  • Use of passes or reduced rate tickets for private or another company’s business purposes or for any type of personal gain.
  • Booking false reservations.
  • Providing passes to an individual as your spouse, domestic partner, parent or child when they are not your spouse, domestic partner, parent of child.
Personal gain falls into a grey area. Guys use the non-rev privileges to ferry planes all the time. Hell, a vacation is a personal gain of some sort. I'll have to figure something out, everything around me here is stagnant, no students, no cfi jobs.
