CFI needed in Western NY. Flying new skyhawks, with a schedule full of students enrolled in a 2 / 4 year degree program. If you're still working on your CFI, we also have need for a commercial pilot (ASEL) (instrument rating preferred). Fax your resume to 585-343-3926, or call 585-343-7367 for details.

What kind of training would be going on here? Just the PPL and instrument in the 172's? Or are there complex aircraft for the training commercial students? Or a multi trainer? Just curious! Thanks! |

Yes, Executive Aviation (Ravenaire) @ GVQ. We've just acquired a new facility, and besides flight training, we currently fly for Metro traffic in Buffalo. We need people to teach and fly some traffic shifts. We are currently in the process of acquiring a 210 to train commercial and CFI applicants, and we will also be getting a twin soon.

A little off topic gs985 but I see you are from Batavia. My mom grew up in Batavia and I have been visiting Batavia every year since I was born as my grandparents lived their whole lives there and our family still owns property off of Putnam Road. I will probably be up there again in July to attend a wedding. |

What's the tail number of the Duchess? I know a couple of the ex-ATA Duchess' were still looking for new homes recently (including the one that had four gear-ups!).

Does that include the one that had all of the instruments in German? My favorite to watch was Darth Vader, though. An all black airplane in Florida. Whose idea was that?

Yeah ... the German plane (right down to the pressure altimiter using milibars) was the plane with all the gear problems. N110SU. The gear collapsed on it while taxing in Ocala a few months after it landed gear-up in Orlando and after being repaired out there and with the FAA on board for it's test flight, the gear collapsed again on the taxi out of the hanger. It was still there for repair job #2 when ATA closed. No idea what happened to it. Darth Vader was a pretty solid plane ... N6016U .... but it did seem to have a lot of electrical problems. The best one was N3728G ... highly requested for a checkride plane.
