Default Colgan Air

Found this on airlinepilotcentral.com. Can any of the Colgan JCers confirm?

"This page last updated: Mar 25, 2009 (hiring info)"

"Hiring. Colgan Air is now hiring FOs for the Q400 and Saab 340 and direct entry Captains for the Saab 340."

That would be news to me. Especially hiring directly for the Q. ...and street captains? I'm not too sure about that. It seems there are plenty of qualified FO's on campus to avoid that!

Street captains is untrue. They are currently paying a few FOs, CA pay because they upgraded out of seniority. There are plenty of qualified FOs currently.

As for hiring FOs, there is a possibility of another class this year sometime, but next spring is going to be a hiring spree as long as all goes to plan.

Yeah, the street captains thing really made me wonder about the validity of the post.

Thanks everyone!!!

Next spring I'll be 270/15 hopefully so I'm ready for the Saab!

To be honest guys, we will hire under 100 pilots, so I'm guessing it will be EXTREMELY competitive.

And I'll bet the mins will be no less than 1500/500 as there's plenty of jobless pilots out there who would meet or exceed that criteria. I think the info on APC is inaccurate. It looks more like what Colgan was advertising for last spring and summer. I've found no hiring info on either their website or climbto350 (Colgan usually advertises on there)

Someone at APC who works at Colgan asked HR about hiring. Colgan is not hiring!!! At least not until end of 2009/early 2010.
